Pelican1170 Case With Foam (OD Green)

I am using this case for two GoPros and all the necessary accessories. It is the perfect fit for how I am using it.

The original Pelican line of products cannot be beat. It costs a lot, but it is worth the money. I own a lot of Pelican cases and have not been disappointed yet. Customer service when needed is prompt to respond, it is truly a no hassle warranty, they ship you out replacement parts in a timely manner. I have a latch break or a handle broken-no problem, probably needs some new wheels on one, I know they will take care of it. I travel with tools on airplanes, and these are the only products that hold up to the luggage gorillas at the airports. Trust me on that one, I have bought so many "disposable" toolboxes it is not even funny.Pelican is one and done. So, you might pay three times as much up front, but over time, it is worth the cost.

I just received my case, and it looks to be everything I expected it to be! Very sturdy built case, the pick & pluck foam makes it easy to carve out an area to put your items (for me - a full size SIG P226 9MM pistol and the magazine separately). One bit of caution though, when selecting locks, be sure to closely examine the diameter of the lock shackle. I wanted a 4-digit lock instead of a lock with a physical key, so I didn't select the "commonly ordered with" option. Unfortunately, I mistakenly ordered a lock (MasterLock item 175D) which has an 8mm shackle diameter - which is just a bit too thick to fit through the lock holes in the Pelican case. The Pelican case doesn't specify the dimension of their pre-cut holes, but they seem to be just under 8mm. I could possibly drill the Pelican case holes to be a bit wider (I now remember reading a review where someone commented on how that was harder than they expected - I bet they ended up making the same mistake I did). Instead I'm going to pick up another lock with a slightly skinnier shackle (6mm or maybe 7mm might fit).Nevertheless, the case itself is very sturdy and is well manufactured. I'm glad to have it and give it a 5-star rating!!

Perfect for my carry pistol

I needed a solid locking case for travel and this is the best you can get. Pelican is the go-to brand for quality cases for items that are important or valuable to you. Do not be deterred by the price, you get what you pay for, and with Pelican you get quality.It's large enough for me to fit my carry pistol, spare magazines and carry ammo. For flying in the United States this the perfect little case as TSA regulations require a solid locked case. Though I do not believe it's required, I always run zip-ties though the chamber to make it clear that the pistol is unloaded and have never had a problem or question from TSA or airport officials.Only complaint is that the Masterlock locks do not allow you to really move or adjust them once locked meaning they stick up/out at a weird angle. But they're solid and prevents TSA from opening/stealing/inspecting your case without you present so in that regards they do what they're supposed to do.Would easily fit larger frame pistols too and easily fits my other stuff as well. I've only plucked the foam out though to accommodate my CM9 since that is what I often travel with since it's small and easily concealed.

Better than a metal one for air travel. Fits any of my concealed carry pistols plus holster mags and ammo. Would fit a full size.

Heading to Key West, Florida on a last minute vacation trip. Since FL is a CCW reciprocal state, I wanted to pack my little S&W MP Shield .45 and two seven round mags. I knew TSA and airline policy on packing a handgun, I just needed the appropriate hard case. Searched Amazon, Cabela's and the other hunting/shooting sites. Amazon had this smaller Pelican 1170 case at a great price. I ordered the case this AM, chose same day delivery and the package arrived less than ten hours later. EXTREMELY satisfied with the quality, functionality and value of this little case. After opening, spent less than five minutes "plucking" the small foam pieces to form around the weapon. The .45 fits perfectly. Adequate room remaining to and space for two of three additional magazines. Very possible I will be ordering more Pelicans to accommodate the larger handguns like the Ruger .357 & Beretta M9.

I am using the case for a Sig SP2022. I have the foam plucked for the gun and then for a magazine. unfortunately, that is all the room there is in the case. I MIGHT be able to pluck foam to make room for one more magazine, but it will be a close call. It is built like a tank and even though it is a small case, it still has the same lock hole setup as the larger cases. I only wish the handle had a bit more diameter to it.In hindsight, once I saw how tight the fit was, I would have ordered a larger case so that I could carry extra magazines AND a couple boxes or ammo. if you have a gun and plan to have a couple magazines or want to carry a box or two of ammo with you, this case will be too small for your needs. i am about sure that once I purchase my next handgun that I will get a larger case and this one will most lkely sit or be given away.

I wanted a case that protects my phone and other fragile things as I go camping in extreme conditions. and this works perfectly. Fall down a mountain, case works. end up in a river, case works. Give my bag to my little brother, case works. if you want to protect something, get this kind of case

さすがペリカン！しっかりしていて満足です！使うのがが楽しみです。ただ、まだ外に持ち出していないのに、落とした様なぶつけた様なキズが、、、開けてすぐ確認していないのでなんともですが、自分でぶつけた記憶もないですし、、、もし出荷前からならそこそこのお値段なので少し残念です。自分でぶつけた可能性も否めないので、カッターで削り、ヤスリでならして使おうと思います。みなさん届き次第しっかりと確認を
