Walt Disney Mini-Classics: Wind in the Willows [VHS]

I bought this DVD because some friends of mine, who love funny movies, told me about it. I must say, I really liked this out of the ordinary little film. I HATE the typical Hollywood crap "comedy" that the movie industry is constantly trying to force down my throat, and I think that's why my friends who really know me pointed out "the Mini" to me. The main character in this movie is just trying to live a happy life despite having a lousy job and having a less than extraordinary love life. The opportunity to race in, and perhaps win, a mini marathon, provides him the chance to become the man of his dreams. And he does all this with a lot of laughs along the way. Another thing, I liked how this was a family film without the typical, boring profanity and standard vulgar jokes that you see all the time in movies. They used to make movies like "the Mini" back in the day when people knew how to make funny comedies without stupid, unseemly, and completely unrealistic scenarios that you see in the majorities of comedies today. So, in my opinion, I think you should give "the Mini" a try, I really liked it, and I think you'll laugh and like it too!

This was like a bad train wreck. I wanted to stop watching but couldn't stop until I got to the end. Total waste of time!

The Mini is a successful and enjoyable film for many of the same reasons why most formulaic, cookie-cutter Hollywood productions are such a bore. On the surface this follows the loser-finally-wins model. But there is an undeniable degree of sincerity, satire and creativity that we seldom see anymore. I have seen countless million-dollar productions that were not as well scripted, acted or produced as this independent film. Especially noteworthy are the performance of Chris Stack as the villain (truly worthy of the Cobra Kai . . . straight up), the soundtrack, and the direction by Ron Beck. I would highly recommend this film to anyone with an eye for originality.

I like it. J Thadious Toad loves adventure. He is in a rush togo "nowhere in particular". Then he sees a motorcar, when cars were something new. He gets falsely accused of stealing the car.It's an interesting animated show. It has good dialog. It's fun.

THE MINI is a funny, sweet, often laugh-out-loud surprise of an indie film. With this roller-coaster comedy that from a pure entertainment standpoint is so far ahead of the average dark or dreary indie film, you are going to have FUN! In anywhere USA Fran Molon is a normal guy with really bad luck. And he works with some low-grade characters at a riff-Raff bedding store. He only gets to sell futons, which is obviously not cool! The annual mini marathon is around the corner and Fran gets involved. He is going to run against his nemesis at work for a promotion, which is just absurd and also really simple and fun.
