The Kiinde system saved my sanity the first few weeks of baby's life. I had a hard time breastfeeding because my baby has poor latch. My nipples and breasts were painful, there wasn't enough milk, and I had to resort to pumping to help establish a milk supply. These pouches were amazing and worked with both my Spectra S1 and Medela Freestyle Flex using the adapters. They were convenient: less cleaning, no need to transfer milk, etc. I found the best way to use them initially was to use a bottle on one side and use a pouch on the other side when double pumping. Since I wasn't getting a lot of milk from each side, I just transfer from bottle to the pouch, seal and label, then stick it in the fridge. At 10 weeks, I only produce 4-5oz per pumping session so one bottle/one pouch method is still the most economical approach. These pouches are also great for using when traveling or going to the pedia's office. Anywhere, really. You can take many pouches without having to weigh your diaper bag or take up unnecessary space. The nipples are also great for breastfeeding babies because they are slow! I learned to always push out enough air before attaching the nipple so the flow will be slower. This would also require baby to suck more, mimicking breastfeeding. One con with this system is its hard to be accurate with measuring milk. However, if you combine it with other bottles that are more accurate, you'll eventually be able to guesstimate the volume with confidence. Just make sure to expand the pouch first! The caps aren't also screwed in fully in some boxes. So be sure to tighten them before throwing them in your pumping bag and heading out. This would ensure the insides are kept clean. The pouches freeze well and thaw well. I never had any leaks, using around 8-10 pouches a day for the past 3 months. Even the Kozii warmer works well. A huge plus? Como Tomo bottles fit in the warmer. Overall, I love this system. I loved it even more when I had to exclusively pump because my baby had to be hospitalized. He never wanted to breastfeed after that. The Kiinde system freed me from cleaning so many things. The nipples didn't choke my baby. The pouches don't leak. The adapters work with both my pumps. Feeding was made easier even if exclusively pumping! And kept my "breastfeeding" journey intact even if I had to pump to deliver breastmilk to my child. The main con? The price. I wish it was cheaper. At 37USD a month for the 160 pack (at the Kiinde website), it's a bit steep. That's the price of several good bottles. Amazon routinely has sales at 9.99 per box of 40, still a bit much when you pump 10x per day. I felt like the price was justified the first few weeks of life when baby only eats and eats. If you pump exclusively, these pouches are worth it! If it was half the price, I wouldn't bother transitioning from the pouches to bottles at around 3 month mark when the baby eats less frequently (meaning you clean less bottles too so it's more manageable!). I will still continue to use these pouches when I'm out, or in the car, or at night (when transferring to cheap pouches would be too much effort), but in the mornings, I would be pumping directly to bottles or from storage bottles to cheaper bags that freeze flatter for maximizing freezer space.

I love love love the Kiinde system!! It is so easy to pump and turn my bags directly into bottles. We use the Kiinde nipples as well, and my baby loves them. We started out using the adaptors for Tommee Tippee nipples but they leaked a lot and when you turn it upside down, milk came out! Annoying. No issues with the Kiinde nipples. Love. Anyway these pouches have been an absolute pleasure to use. Kiinde upgraded the plastic at some point and now they are really nice and thick. May not seem like it matters but the older ones were very thin, and would sometimes leak when frozen ones were being thawed out in the refrigerator. I pump a lot... and I mean A LOT! Much more than the average. I could pump up to 30 oz a day (My boy drinks a lot and I work full time). The convenience of not having to pump into one thing and then switch is HUGE. I can't tell you how many times we've brought a bottle out in public and people will ask me "What on Earth is that? I've never seen such a thing!" and then when I explain they are blown away. I'm a huge advocate for this company and I do NOT work for them. I have told many nursing mommies that if they pump, they should be using the Kiinde system. NOTE: I know they say not to resume them, but we reused them a lot! They aren't expensive necessarily, but when you pump as much as I do, it really can add up (talking hundreds of dollars) if you used a new pouch every time. My rule of thumb was that if it was prior frozen milk, I would not resuse and would dispose of the bag. But if it was fresh milk or only refrigerated milk, I would reuse. You can buy a cheap bottle brush from Target that will slide inside the opening and twist it around to full clean out the entire pouch from the inside. This can save you a lot of bags and money, but I still wouldn't reuse them 10x, maybe 2-3x. I'm not sure why their nipples don't get more talk either. Everyone recommended the Tommee Tippee or the Dr Brown's and I have to say that these nipples are the best. No leaks at all. Wonderful flow for baby. We breastfeed beautifully in the morning and after work yet he downs his milk like a champ during the day. Really excellent!! TIP: If you are on the go and are taking a bottle with you, leave the blue cap ON. Do not travel with the nipple attached. It WILL leak. I have lost many pouches of milk from doing so. What we do is we put the pouch inside the white case and inside of a Tommee Tippee insulator and have the nipple placed separately inside.

These are perfect for a medela etc style pump and I freaking wish I knew about then when I began my pumping journey! They are easy and wonderful and amazing to pop the kiinde slow flow nipple right on and feed!!! I took these to Disney world and ontogeny plane through TSA with no problem! Disney was so east with these bags and poop a nipple on and go! Less bull when traveling. BUT: for the savings saavy mom: these ARE absolutely rewashable by hand with a Boone bottle brush and pure Castile unscented soap- then air dry and we don’t repurchase. Great great product. I have a medela these directly plug into. But, I also have a Willow and if using the containers, can pour the milk straight into this bag for easy freezable or togo bottles! You can also YouTube the Willow bag hack for direct pump into these, but it’s more steps. I prefer containers and pouring in or direct pump from medela. These are also HUSBAND/ GRANDPARENT PROOF! Aka they don’t spill your hard earned milk when helping out and can pop in the kiinde slow flow nipple and go! I’ve had NO issues with colic and if you push up the air in bag before freezing/placing on nipple to feed, they are anti colic and air free collapsible bags. Also cheaper than Willow bags. I would ditch even the notion of buying any other type of bottle, nipple, or breastmilk storage system. Kiinde is the way to go for this first-time, working mama. These storage bags are perfect. I love using them to pump/store milk, and my son's caregivers love them as well for their ease of use. PROS: - no leaks, ever - warms up more quickly than solid bottles - no washing (see "unsolicited advice" about reuse, though) - no transfers and risk of contamination - no wasted milk - no wasted milk - no wasted milk ... if you've spent time struggling with your supply and pumping, you'll understand why this is worth mentioning three times - convenient for pre-measured formula, too CONS: - full bags require a very gentle hand to avoid spillage, but this is to be expected with liquid in a bag - a bit pricey (again, see "unsolicited advice" about reuse) - labeling area is tiny UNSOLICITED ADVICE: - These are labeled as "disposable/recyclable," and Kiinde officially recommends one-time use. Of course they do, because they sell more bags that way, and I'm sure extra-cautious moms feel good about reaching for a brand new bag and knowing it's sterile. I frequently re-use them anyway, particularly when the milk or formula didn't spend much time in the bag to begin with, and have had zero problems. Just a super hot rinse/shake-out and time on the drying rack makes me comfortable with reusing them. Your preferences may vary. - Labeling is easy enough with a Sharpie, but DO NOT try to write on them when they are cold or wet. It just won't happen. - If you re-use and wish to re-label, a little rubbing alcohol takes the Sharpie ink right off. I actually purchased an envelope-moistening pen (tipped with a sponge) that I fill with rubbing alcohol and use to clear the labels off of several at a time. - If you supplement at all, or even in case of emergency, it's handy to have a couple of bags with 4oz. or so worth of powdered formula in the diaper bag. I just write "add water and shake" and circle the measurement on the side. This makes it super easy for care providers, too. If you're a working mom who is hesitant about leaving your baby during the day, I can't recommend this system highly enough. Take comfort in making your baby's care as easy as possible; it may seem negligible, but I love knowing that once my kiddo is crying out for a meal, it doesn't take quite as long to get fed because his bottles are pre-measured, quick to warm up, and easy to assemble. I'll be using this system until he no longer needs a bottle, and coming back to it when I have another baby.

I originally started using these by taking advantage of their free starter kit. Once I realized how much simpler they made my life, I was hooked! We used the bags for frozen breastmilk feedings up to 5 months and then switched to formula. The 6 ounce bags have worked for us through the 8-month-mark which is where my baby is now. If I had to buy another box, I'd likely bump up to the 8 ounce size, but it hasn't been necessary yet. PROS FOR BREASTFEEDING: - It makes prep work simple! Just place the frozen bag in a cup of warm water, insert it into the white case/holder (with the cap still on), then remove the cap and add a nipple. SO fast! - It makes clean up faster. Just remove the nipple, wash the nipple, and then recycle the bag. You're only washing the nipple- not a whole bottle. - My baby responded well to the slow flow nipples and it did not cause any issues. - If you pump directly into the bag, you are not dirtying 2 pump bottles and then pouring those into a bag. You are just pumping directly into the Kiinde bags, so clean up is reduced. (I had no issues with the Spectra converter.) PROS FOR FORMULA and/or BOTH - The nipples come with a cap, so they are protected in your diaper bag. - Amazing for travel or just on the go. I went on a beach trip for a week with my 6 month old. We brought normal bottles for the day (so I felt less wasteful), but for the time we were at the beach, I brought the Kiinde bags and it was 10X easier to manage! I fed him in the car, at parks, and on planes with this system and it's always easier. - Can use for formula too. With formula, we pre-pack the bags with the mixture and then just bring my Spectra pumping bottle with the correct ounces of water. I then pour the water into the bag, shake it, and pop on the nipple. I've also just brought an empty Spectra bottle and then purchased water at the airport after I get through security, measure it out, and pour into the Kiinde bag. - This may be subjective, but I feel like it helps prevent gas. Since the bag deflates as the baby drinks, they aren't sucking in all this air. CONS: - They will take up more space when you freeze them or stack them frozen because of the round lid. - The ounces on the outside are misleading. Since I was a low producer, I was always rationing my milk. Because it was challenging to get an accurate measurement, even if I pumped directly into the bag, I still would pour out into a measuring cup, then pour that into the Kiinde bag and write the ounces on it. (They tell you to use your fingers to fully open the base of the bag, but since I was so low on milk, every ounce counted, so this was still risky to me.) - Pouring in breastmilk is easier than scooping in formula. I didn't want to buy the funnel, but in all reality, it made prepping formula bottles way easier and was worth avoiding the headache. - Not for environmentalists. The bags are recyclable, so that's helpful, but I tried to NOT use the bags if I was home or not using frozen breastmilk. - The stacking rack wasn't useful for us. It doesn't hold much, and I wound up just freezing flat and then tossing them all into my deep freezer. Overall, none of the cons were significant enough to deter me from continuing to use the system, and I'm still highly satisfied with the product. As a working mom, you often have to weigh costs versus benefit, and in this circumstance, the time and energy it saves our family is worth the cost! I will be using this system again with future children as it's that helpful!

I'm a mom of 3 boys and I used the Kiinde system with my youngest as I breastfed him for 9 months while working full time. The bags never failed me. The bags are high quality and the cap system didn't leak. They were easy to use with the holder and Kiinde nipples. However, my son had to work pretty hard at them, so we went to the medium and fast flow very quickly compared with other bottles like Medela. The bags themselves are great and dependable. I loved not having to pour milk into different bags or bottles and just using them directly. I'm only giving these 4 stars because they are a bit expensive. I justified it with my third because I'm busy and our house is crazy. I only used them when I pumped at work, when at home I pumped into bottles so that I didn't use up bags too quickly. Overall, I'd recommend the bags. Keep in mind that they only hold about 6 ounces. If you're doing formula, I wouldn't recommend them beyond 4-5 ounces. There just isn't enough room for water and shaking them up. The other disclaimer I'd use is that the measuring isn't very precise. This didn't bother me, but if you want accurate measurement of your milk or how much your little one is getting, you're probably better off with bottles.

I recommend these to EVERYONE! My baby was born at 28w so he spent 66 days in the NICU making me a pumping mom, even after he was discharged, I produced far more than his little preemie body could eat so I still needed to pump around the clock. We were using Dr.Browns bottles to feed him the first couple weeks he was home, all those parts to wash, agh. When I returned to work and it fell on my husband to properly wash all those parts, I thought "let's try that free sample from Kiinde". Never looked back, it made life so much easier. My boy took the slow flow nip just fine and it's now coming up on a year of exclusively pumping into kiinde bags and I have not had 1 single leak not 1 single sanitary issue. It's truly hard for me to believe the bug reviews are real, I go thru a 40 count box in less than a week so I've purchased ALOT of boxes with ZERO issues. The price has gone up alot since I started I was getting 40 CT 6oz boxes for $10-$12, now they are $16.99 which is kinda ridiculous to me but I love them too much to stop now. The only con I have about them is measurement. It's not exact, I used to fuss over being exactly right on how many mLs I pumped and how many mL he ate so I hated the way the bag left room for error (bag fully open at the bottom makes the measurement show less than is actual in there) but it's not by that much I got over it and go off oz now intsead of mLs. You can get free starter kits on the kiinde website that's how I got started try before you buy kinda thing. I'm a real first time parent (of a preemie) I wasn't paid or given anything for my review, I just love the simplicity of the system especially now that I'm not the stay at home parent haha
