5.11 Tactical MIRA 2-in-1 Backpack, 25L with Detachable Crossbody CCW Conceal Carry Ready Bag, Style 56338

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I bought this for rucking but have also ended up making it my CrossFit bag. Lots of room lots of pockets.The messenger bag is completely removable. There is another review here where the guy removed it by cutting it off because he couldn't figure it out. It comes with instructions. The little tabs slide off the seams. I have included pictures and videos to prove it. This is an amazing back pack, I wanted to show the other review was incorrect because the bag did detach properly.

5.11 is usually on top of their game with their products. I have many bags from them and ordered this one as a replacement EDC bag. The bag and concept itself is good but the supposed CCW pocket on the backside of the detachable part of the bag is laughable. It has no zipper or snap to hold the weapon in place, they used a magnet which, if the bag is for whatever reason, turned past 90 degrees or upside down cannot hold the weapon in. I tried it with even an empty small pistol and it opens and falls out. There is not even some simple strips of velcro where you can add a soft or hard holster to assist with retention. As a CCW/EDC bag, 5.11 failed on this one. P.S. Why s it labeled "Womens" and "Purse"? There is nothing gender specific about this bag nor is it a purse.

This is not for woman. I know that the "tactical prepping" community like to think of this bag as suitable for women but it isn't limited to this. It is well built, standard for 5.11 bags so no surprise. Not the most techy but 5.11 bags aren't known for being on the cutting edge. The detachable crossbody or 'man purse" gets flak for being a bit finicky. I have some suggestion or "hacks" to improve this bag. 5.11 are you listening?1: understand that the bottom attachments are sliders so you slide them sideways of remove the bottom portion, don't try to pull them out but slide them along the plastic rail. Had this bag have more molle on the bottom of the main bag and the bag of the crossbody, I could have attach the two together.2: the top attachment design is flawed. So, I put a D ring on each of the bottom most, outside molle. I would use these 2 D rings to attach the top look of the crossbody.3: the side compression straps are now free to attach to the two loops (that was intended to connect to the crossbody).My hacks allows the crossbody to be more securely attached to the main bag. Allows the side compression straps to function independently of the crossbody attachment. Therefore, I can attach the crossbody AND still unzip the main bag fully (something you couldn't easily do with the original design).

1) First picture focus on the black fasteners at the bottom of the satchel. Notice the left looks correct. The curve goes with the direction of strap tension. They sewed the other one on facing the SAME direction, against the angle of the strap.2) It was my impression that the satchel was removable. It has a decent amount of storage plus a hidden pouch with a good magnet on the body facing side. Well guess what. It DOES NOT come off from the bag. You can only unhook it from the metal looking hooks. The bottom of the messenger bag is permanently attached to the backpack by the black metal fasteners on the bottom.3) so if it can’t come off why does it have a shoulder strap? I decided to cut mine off (final picture) as the messenger bag is NOT removable. In addition, the strap has to be tucked into the hidden pouch when not in use which takes up most of the space for that pocket.This bag had so much potential. Very disappointed.

I love this bag, so many compliments! After reading the reviews, I thought the front attaching bag would annoy me, but I like it. The underwire sliding clamp is a clever design if you dont plan on detaching it often.I use it as an EDC and it holds more than I expected, comfortably. I like the full zipper and that theres an upper and lower zipper compartment on the inside of the front flap. It holds my chromebook and gym clothes an it's not too tactical looking in this awesome color (which reacts to UV light, as shown)!My only complaint is that if it's weighted in the front compartment and doesnt have enough weight in the main compartment it has a tendency to tip forward.

Exactly what we wanted for use as a ruck sack. We purchased a ruck plate and it works great. Saved a lot of money as well as these packs are typically $150-$200

La mochila está compuesta por materiales de calidad y que tienen bastante aguante. La he llenado y aguanta de manera impresionante, si la ajustas bien a tu espalda y brazos, no sientes que se mueven, o no la sientes estorbosa, algo contrario, puedes caminar y hasta correr sin problema.En definitiva es una mochila de la calidad que 5.11 siempre entrega.
