Core Wool for Needle Felting, 8 oz Corriedale, Dryer Balls & Stuffing

I'm very pleased with the amount for the reasonable price. It's extremely smooth, and so even. I'm really surprised that they call this "core wool" though--to me it's far too silky smooth and sleek to be considered that! It felts up nicely though; I knotted a length a few times and felted using a 2-needle holder (using size 38s, for reference), and it didn't take long at all to get a nice roundness, and I was very pleased with the density I achieved in what I'd characterize as a normal amount of time. For being so soft, it has a reeeally good "tooth," which I guess is a hallmark of Corriedale? I'm a fan now! So, just be aware that this is a lot nicer than "just" carded core wool--I feel it's nice enough to use as the outside too. Also, it arrived the next day, which is ~amazing~!!

This wool roving is excellent. It’s soft, has no odors and is white. It arrived in a timely manner and was perfect for my project.

I'm new to needle felting and was so pleased that I bought this. It's soft, perfectly clean and amazing for needle felting. Works well as core or tops wool. Great value and a pleasure to work with. I might try dying it next!

This is great wool quality roving that will be good for my needle felting needs. It is just as described and arrived quickly.

I bought this because I wanted to a lot of wool for cheap to get back into wool spinning. This was the largest amount at the cheapest price so I was sold. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was overall pretty pleased with the purchase. For some reason (and this was on me) the wool comes in the box shown in the picture, I had thought it came in a plastic jar. It's packed in which is nice that they squeezed 8 ounces into such a small box. I'd recommend a different container for storage as the box is not really secure. The wool itself is surprisingly soft and really easy to spin. The only drawback was there was some debris in the wool but they pretty rare occurrences, minimal and easily removable. Drafting was pretty smooth and I could get to lace weight yarn without too much trouble. This is a solid choice for those interested in learning how to spin wool. No frills, not fancy by any stretch but you get your money's worth.

This is supposed to be a product that you use underneath your more expensive fibers but I loved using this - it felted easily to the degree of firmness anyone wants and it felts smoothly without bumps and bubbles forming. I am on my 2nd box already and I would recommend anyone who wants to try another fiber to purchase this. I spent a few days measuring an amount of fiber out right from the box, then felting it for either a head (circle) or a body (oval). Then, I kept the information on a separate sheet of paper - how many inches for a 1" head; how many inches for a 3" body, etc. I kept the samples in a plastic bag and used these dimensions every time I wanted to make a certain size project. It worked for me. Some of the projects I used my more expensive overlays of fiber; others I just used this fiber as a middle and top coat. I'm new to needle felting, but loved my results and versatility of this product.
