Awesome iron!
This is a huge step up from the 3 other brands I've tried. The ignition is so easy you don't think it's lit. You push it all the way up then release it and it stays lit. No stupid gimmicks to make it stay lit. No childproof crap. To turn it off you push it back down. It heats up quick and holds a lot of fuel and has clear tank to see the fuel. Can't say enough good things about it. Great for soldering PL 259s!

This is good getting a pin point flame where you need it
This is good getting a pin point flame where you need it. It's way less bulky than a butane bottle torch. I wouldn't count on it for getting bolts red hot - maybe smaller screws. Nicely made, easy to use. Actually it's kind of fun. It's perfect for heat shrink tubing, especially around other wires because you can pinpoint and adjust the flame really well. It's just a great little soldering gun that you can use for other stuff too.

NOT WORTH IT!!!!!
Item lasted about 3 weeks. Now it will not spark to light. I was also unhappy with the flame because on low it was almost as strong as high. Not much difference between high and low. The item seems cheaply made and the switches are loose

Old one worked for 15 years, new one is junk
I originally bought one of these soldering irons 15 years ago from Fry's Electronics, and used it every day for installing car alarms and stereos. I re-wired several old muscle cars, and basically just used the hell out of this thing. I dropped it lots of times, used it in 115 degree heat, and in 20 degree cold days too. I went through 2 tips for it.I would say I got a couple years of daily use out of it, then I got a different job and used it significantly less. Still, it lasted 15 years. It still works, but now it doesn't light every time, so I thought I would go buy a new one....The new soldering iron is JUNK!The whole thing kind of wobbles in the middle. The tank is loose from the rest of it. It lights just fine but sputters and won't maintain heat. Sometimes I can solder stuff, sometimes I can't. I have to shake it to keep it going.Maybe it's a fluke, so I bought another one, and IT'S ALSO JUNK!New soldering iron number 2 I also bought on Amazon, and same thing - the tank is loose and it sputters and won't maintain the correct temperature unless I shake it.At some point whoever makes this soldering iron stopped caring about quality and turned an excellent product into trash. What a shame.

SolderPro 120 is amazing and shipping was fast
SolderPro 120 is amazing and shipping was fast. I'm taking away two stars because the product did not come with the additional blow torch tip listed in the item description details. I actually had this separate spare in my cart and removed it because the listing indicated I would get one included. Inaccurate product descriptions (and/or pictures) are a pet peeve of mine and serve to spoil the otherwise excellent amazon experience.

... up than advertised but other than that it works pretty good.
Takes much longer to heat up than advertised but other than that it works pretty good. Unless it's cold outside, then the gas will not flow out of it at all. I think it's because the metal body gets so cold that the butane gets too cold to flow out. One trick I found is to take it apart and adjust the butane output by lifting the adjuster ring off the regulated and spin it to the left about 10 clicks or so. Then it gets super hot and works super fast, unless it's cold outside.

Initially leaked, but customer service went the extra mile.
At first it seemed good, and very hot. Very easy to work with. Then I noticed the tank would go empty between uses, all by itself, even though it was completely turned off. I called the company and their rep said they would gladly replace the entire thing for me (this in the second year I owned it) but in their experience it usually was just a bad o-ring on the fill port, and if I wanted to try that first, they'd mail it to me. The filler fitting comes out with a screwdriver (and it will FLY out if there's any gas pressure left), the new o-ring fitted right in, the problem was solved in minutes and hasn't come back.So thanks to a good product with outstanding customer service, I'm bumping my rating to five stars.

This far outpaces any other cordless iron.
This is the one to buy!I have two of these, and they are much nicer than the battery-powered cordless irons from the same company. These heat very fast, and have a wide range of heat output for many uses.I've had my first for many years at my vacation house, and I'm getting a second to have around the full-time house for work in the car and back yard. This far outpaces any other cordless iron.
