Physics for Scientists and Engineers 9th Edition

I rented this book. It was in good condition (yay for no highlighting!). I think the material was presented very well and I liked how they put side comments to help you grasp the information. They also provided tips on how to approach problems and "conceptualize". There are answers in the back for ODD (i.e., 3,5,7, etc) homework problems. I only wish that they would provide answers for conceptual and objective questions, and that for some of the book examples, that they be more detailed (just on *some* of them). Overall, good book and you can tell they made an effort to help you understand.

My son needed this book for his AP Physics class. The book is as described, at a great price (as I compared with others available), and I received it before the estimated delivery date. I am very pleased with my purchase and would order from the seller again.

I bought this item from Amazon Warehouse in acceptable condition. The condition made me really nervous, but I couldn't pass up the price. When I got the book, however, I was very pleased. It has no signs of ever being used other than the fact that it didn't come covered in plastic. Will definitely buy used books from Amazon again. That being said, if you need this book, get the international edition. Same content, just a different cover in paperback and like a fourth of the price. I wish I would have known that sooner.

Useful text that explains the material with a lot of problems to work out and better understand material. Would be better if online companion actually helped solve problems instead of trying to sell you stuff.

After I rented a used copy I discovered that the class homework requires access to WebAssign. If you buy the book new it comes with an access code, otherwise you need to spend an additional $75.

Excellent book for introducing physics concepts. The problems are just challenging enough but with persistence can be solved. Would recommend to anyone with an interest in physics.

Son's college textbook. It was exactly what he needed for class. It did the job and arrived quickly. Wouldn't have purchased it if he didn't need it for class though
