It’s a great product for what it does so I didn’t want to give it a bad review but it was not what I was looking for. If you have a small area to cover and lots of time on your hands you might enjoy using this, but I am too impatient. I have a medium sized garden I wanted to cover and this simply takes too long and is too touchy to operate for me. I have big meat hooks and am fairly strong so trying to delicately squeeze the bulb to get a good stream of powder out was way too challenging for me. I just ended up spitting out piles very often. Also the tiny filling hole, even with the funnel was very precise and time consuming to refill. If you have the time on your hands (and patience) and like the precision use of it, it is a very well made product and I am sure it will work well for you. Can’t beat the cost. But if you are like me and just want to get the dust onto the ground and plants and move on, I recommend a more aggressive duster like the Dust Mizer (was just what I was looking for)

Bought this to apply DE (Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth) and it worked flawlessly. Easy to refill, you can apply a light coating or go heavy depending on how hard you squeeze the bulb. Never had an issue with it popping off the fittings and nozzle never clogged. I've purchased a few others before this one, and they are leaked, or came apart, or broke in some way. This one is still going strong after months of heavy use. I'm about to purchase another one for the application of Drione Dust (Insecticide) I don't want to put that powder in the one I use for the food grade DE.

Easy to use, holds a surprise amount of DE. On a volume basis, it doesn’t look like a lot. But it sprays for a LONG time! Sends out a great mist as well. Doesn’t put huge clumps of DY on leaves like my last one did. And the nozzle is long enough it’s easy to reach under branches and coat the lower parts of the plant as well as the ground surface (for slugs, etc.) LOVE IT!

trying to keep as far from yellow jackets as I can. this one seems to be only reasonably priced option and longest tube i could find. cute kit. seems like good siliconish bulb pretty heavy. brass rods and screw in seem reasonably thick. they have a pipe clamp on outside of bulb which maybe they added because some older reviews, to keep it well connected to bulb. certainly seems better materials than what I could find locally, they where all really cheap brittle and not very flexible plastic with short tube...and even those couldn't even find em in the big boxes that sell the pesticide dust. whats going on with the world. lol. as for me welp I did a test puff or three, it worked fine with maximum extension. go over to do battle. I picked night, a very weird cold night. was completely suited since i wasn't taking chances. I was loaded with sevin dust. got a few puffs in and then it clogged. couldn't get it to work and THAT is a bad time to have that happen. I can see now where some those rage reviews came from now lol. TIME is of the essence when wasps can be in your face. knew this was my opportunity to get em since they where so cold and hadn't even appeared yet though I could hear a hive humming like a power station (very creepy) so backed up I took the extension off and came back with just the straight pipe and used that. never used one of these things before but seemed like the long extension section clogged possibly the tip or the pipe. i had taken them apart later banged em on deck a sec didn't clear. oh and the solid funnel was a nice addition...but sevin dust wouldn't go through it...ended up breathing a bit of the stuff in because of that. so this item might be good for other products but NOT for sevin dust. perhaps the pro gardeners/ exterminators know what to use this with. i could only add ...maybe don't use the tips, maybe the extension pipe will work without them. as in the tips compact the sevin dust in the tube and or the tip. find out if i try to clean it seriously.

This is a great garden tool! I love the long applicator length. It gets underneath the plant foliage and puts out a nice puff of powder. It took me a time or two to get the hang of it. Totally easy to use. Use a quick squish of the bulb and voilà! Quick shipping too. BTW, I use spinosad powder in mine for chewing insects.

This product has been great for dusting diatomaceous earth. It doesn't clog, it holds a good amount of product, the wand length is helpful, and construction is sturdy. All around good product. I'm glad I purchased this one instead of the cheaper plastic ones. I debated between the cheaper ones that would just get this job done for less money, but I feel this better quality one is something that made the job itself much easier to perform. And with the durability of this one, it's a tool I'll have around for a long time to use on many other jobs. It was so easy that while I was using it, several other applications came to mind for which this will be helpful. Long story short, I'm very happy with this selection and purchase.
