Exceeds Expectations
I have been wanting to write this review for a while now. I have purchased quite a few of this bag. Why? Because it is well made, very very warm, an extremely comfortable. With that being said if you were looking for a bag that is lightweight and easy to put in a stuff sack this is not your bag. If you were like me and you were no longer in your twenties and need comfort, warmth, and and reliability this is in fact your bag. I have had several issues with zippers or one that arrived with a small tear. With that being said this seller made it right gave me a refund or offered to send me a new bag. I will continue to purchase these bags for myself and others that camp frequently. I will also be purchasing these as gifts for other avid outdoors people. Again not lightweight and in fact quite bulky. But it is a great quality bag, it does hold in lower temperatures, actually has a nice zipper, an incredibly roomy. I am extremely comfortable in this bag with base layer for the top base layer for the bottom and a lightweight sleeping bag liner in temperatures around 30 degrees. Please keep in mind I did order the navy blue 30° bag. Often times I get too hot and have to open the zipper or leave the top part off as I sleep. I hope this helps. If you were looking for a great bag and don't care about size this is it.

great sleeping bag for cold house!
I love how soft and warm the inside of this bag is and. how easily it washes. It's a bit difficult to roll back up tightly for me however am almost 70y.o. and have arthritis in my hands. The price was really good too for the quality of sleeping bag. While it wasn't used outdoors it was used to sleep with outside temps down to 39 F and no heat on inside and performed well. 5 stars in my book!

Feels like good value.
Dec. 2020. First impressions. Compared to Amazon Basics sleeping bag. This Coleman, rectangular, cold weather Sleeping bag is definitely better quality than the Amazon Basics version. My main issue with the Amazon Basics version was the low quality of the zipper. The Coleman bag has a much better quality zipper, plus a special device on it that claims 'snag free' operation. I will have to use it on a real camping trip to vouch for that specific device. But I can tell already it's going to work better. The outer lining (very dark blue color) also seems to be of a slightly thicker material than the Amazon Basics. Although it does not seem to be real 'rip-stop' material (which would give me much more confidence for long lasting durability). The inner lining (creme colored), is very soft. The overall weight is quite light (compared to the old school canvas versions of these types of bags). Once rolled up and shoved into its 'compression sack', it is a bit bulky. But for car camping its fine. The sleeping bag has this odd string / thin rope system permanently attached to it, that is designed to tie the sleeping bag in place once it is rolled up, so it will stay in place before you insert it into the compression sack. I find that system a bit strange and seems prone to put a lot of pressure on 3 small points on the feet end of the bag, when tying it up. I have a feeling this may be a weak link in the design. Time will tell. Other bags have elastic straps sewn in place. Or heavier nylon straps with compression buckles. But a nice feature the bag has are two loops and buttons that will keep the bag folded in half when rolling it, so that it rolls evenly. A small but helpful detail. The 'Compression' Sack is not compressible at all, once I rolled up the bag for storage. The compression system is a zipper. Similar to how travel luggage has that expansion zipper system. But the bag barely fits in the sack once it is rolled, so the zipper is impractical (possibly breakable) to close at that point. I find it very helpful for sleeping bag sacks to compress, so they take up less space and become firmer during travel. No luck here. But at least with some effort, the bag does fit in the sack, which has a pull string, and a handle and the info / specs of the sleeping bag stitched or printed on it. One feature I wanted to try out was the ability to zip 2 sleeping bags together to make one double sized (2 person) bag. I tried it. It works so so. It will work, but it feels like I am forcing the zippers along the way. They don't close the bag nice and smoothly, like when it's a single bag. It takes much longer than normal. And the zippers kind of skip a notch every so often. So I would not call it a totally tight zip. Possibly would start to open up if there is a bit too much pressure on them by say, someone turning in their sleep within the bag. To be tested... I would call it an half feature, that Coleman did not specifically design for, but doable in a pinch. At least with my 2 bags. I will update this review once I have used the bag in real world conditions. This was a purchase I made after returning the Amazon Basics bag because the zipper broke on it within 4 nights of using it camping. This Coleman one already feels like it will pass that test well. Now to find out if it does well in cold temps. But by the feel of it, I think it will do just as well or better than the Amazon Basics. At the Sale price i bought it, it is a very good value. Update. After 1 night using 1 bag in the open blanket mode, it felt much warmer than my normal duvet cover, when sleeping in my bed at home. Not exactly a camping test, but glad to know it will be a good extra blanket for guests, or a super cold night at home.

Recommend
Definitely recommend its amazing and soft. It kept us warm and cozy at night while we went camping. I bought two and could zip them together if I wanted. I laid one down to lay on top of and the other to cover us. We stood warm.

Great beginner/intermidiate bag
I bought two of these for the niece and nephew to go camping in. They are super fluffy and thick, but not nearly as big as most zero degree bags. Not somethig you would take on a backpacking trip but wan't take up a bunch of room in your car and are easy to store away when not in use. From my understanding they keep them warm even to 30 degrees (understand thy camp in an RV). They come with stuff sack for tranportation. I can't comment on the zipper quality. Again, you could alwasy upgrade once the zipper breaks. Who these are for is beginner car campers looking to get into the outdoor activies. You could always upgrade later and keep this as a backup or a spare for quests. I would say even intermediate campers as well as these would work for longer stays as well, say two to three nights.

Fantastic!
I'm not a sleeping bag connoisseur by any means, but I do get a certain amount of joy from having a good sleeping bag. This fits the bill. It's comfy, light, and slightly more compact than my cotton outer shell bags. The downside with having a polyester outer shell is that it's more slippery, and it might be hard to stay in place on sleeping pads. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase, and I'm glad I got two!

Great sleeping bag with awful zip
Toasty warm! Perfectly adequate for temps down to the 20s. Have found ways to tuck up so far inside that even my head stays warm. One caveat - the zip seems very stiff. Have not yet lubricated it, but that’s not the problem. LIKE ALL SLEEPING BAGS, the zip requires both sides to be PERFECTLY straight. Typically you can tug it only about 3 inches at a time before it stops dead or catches the nylon one side or the other. Eventually it WILL rip the nylon. Getting in is therefore very frustrating. Best is to lay it out, zip it all the way up, then shimmy down inside - so that the zip, which struggles to come up but will ALWAYS slide down 4 inches with EVERY move you make, might only shift down maybe 18 inches or so and you can *easily* fight it the rest of the way up to your shoulder. Every sleeping bag should have a zip with a wider mouth and a hook or catch at the top to hold it up whilst you sleep. Someday someone will listen - hence this review with 3 stars. I do like the color though!

Nice warm roomy sleeping bag. Not the easiest to get back into the storage bag
The bag is very nice and warm and cozy, great zippers, but when folding up it is slippery and just like when I was a kid it's not the easiest to put back into the carry bag even though it comes with some kind of special system that I haven't figured out yet. I guess I need to watch the video.

Very warm
Currently camping in mid October and my children have abandoned their sleeping bags in favour of mine. This sleeping bag is very warm. For colder nights (approximately 3 degrees), I dress in fleece pants and warm socks and i am super warm. It cost $35 more than the competitor’s sleeping bag but im so happy I spent the extra $$$.
