Cheap Material... Flimsy Rings
04-2019 -------------------------------------------Having had this ring binder over a month, I’ll give it 2 out five stars. So let’s get down to the nitty gritty.First, this 6 inch ring binder is big. I purchased it to organize my electronic components, so I already filled it up pretty much with different small parts to the brim. The rings are not sturdy. Two of the rings have a very small gap between the two sides of the ring when closed. When I turn the sheets, those gaps tend to get bigger due to the weight of the pages. This makes the sheets get stuck or even come out of the ring. For some reason the ring tips make the sheets get stuck in them almost every time I flip them. They don’t close property. This is really annoying and frustrating. And I haven’t even mentioned that I’m using plastic sheets that are thicker than normal paper sheets. It would be worse for paper sheets because they are thinner. It can ruin the papers edges. Why didn’t they make strong rings if this binder is supposed to hold a huge amount of weight? Now, talking about the plastic surface, it feels sturdy. But is it? It turns out that the first thing I noticed when I opened the binder is that it didn’t open completely. In other words, you couldn’t open the the cover all the way like a notebook. I thought that this was a “good sign” because I felt like it was made of a strong material that can’t fold easily. Despite that, I decided to to open it all the way by bending the cover all the way around to the back. What huge a disappointment! The line where the plastic folds cracked and tore at the borders. It looks like cheap plastic. I’m sure that with constant use they will split open more over time. This was a real deal breaker.Another observation that I want to make here is the space that the rings take up. They are about 10cm wide viewed horizontaly (which makes up about 30% of the whole ring binder). This of course makes it look awkward if you’re going to carry it around. However, it is understandable as I think it was made to leave enough room to flip the pages. But ironically the D ring shape of the rings makes it hard to flip the pages. Especially when you’re trying to get to the end sections. Not everything about it is negative. One of the things that I like are the transparent compartments inside and outside of the binder. You can slide in a cover page or a information sheet, which I think is really handy. To sum it up. If you really care about quality, you’re better off looking elsewhere. Otherwise, if you’re not that picky you might want to give this ring binder a try, but just be aware of what you might encounter considering all the points that I made. Personally I was expecting to get a high quality product because it wasn’t cheap at all. Now I feel that I was scammed. You should probably spend your money elsewhere.12-2019 ----------------------------------This thing finally gave in and now there is a huge crack in the plastic.

I was a little disappointed at the durability of the binder where the front panel is connected to the side panel. The first binder that I received had to be returned because it arrived and was already starting to tear at that point. The replacement binder was intact when it arrived but I decided to reinforce that whole seam with some good packing tape. I am fairly certain that frequent use will result in that seam tearing if not reinforced with something. The same issue may occur with the back panel.

I have a thousand pages in one binder and was looking for one in the 1250-1300 page range. This one fits the bill. Unfortunately, the delivery company left the box on the front porch. It was soaked by heavy rain and the box was ruined, but the binder wasn't touched. It was delivered very quickly. I wish it came in blue but I'll settle for white. If I try to turn too many pages at once, the paper slightly catches on the top ring. But this is only a minor complaint. This is an excellent binder and I highly recommend it for anyone who needs or wants to keep more than 950 pages in the same binder.March 5, 2016 - I received another one of these binders this week. There was a minor problem with one of the rings when I bought the first one but I decided to keep it. That problem slowly grew until the binder became unusable. You can't turn the pages. But I have about 1200 pages in the binder. You can't expect a binder this big to last as long as smaller binders. But I want to have the 1200 pages in one binder and not to have to switch between two. I might drop this binder to three-and-a-half stars in a new rating. My advice is to pay attention to any imperfections when you get the binder and consider how long it might take the flaw/s to get worse. Maybe consider sending the binder back if you think it won't last long.

HUGE!
August 5th 2012:This binder is massive. I fit over 1,000 pages of paper, page dividers, and flash cards. When I first got it, it looked like something from a cartoon. I mean, it was much larger than my 4" and just looked fictional. I've already had it for a few months. The rings are okay, but they do open occasionally and bend a little, which is expected due to the massive size of the binder. Overall, an incredible purchase for anyone who wants to keep all of their important papers in one area.February 27th, 2013:After over 6 months, the rings are starting to warp a little, just like they do with any binder that you put a lot of pages into. It's expected, but it still sucks.

It's smaller then A4!
I bought this for a pattern sample folderIt arrived marked on the inside where the rings had transferred dirt, it matched up perfectly as seen in pictures.I decided to look past it for the moment and went to put my pages inside but found A4 pages don't fit properly, they stick out a little either end or a lot one end. I did try with other types of A4 paper to see if the page I originally used wasn't true A4 but instead larger paper, sadly It wasn't the paper that was wrong. This just isn't fit for purpose as its going to damage the pages every time you set it down and will become tattered very quickly. I need something to keep my pages clean and safe. I cut my A4 page down by 2cm for it to fit comfortably but that just wasn't practical to do for over 100 pages.I was so happy when it finally arrived I confidently took out the end and side papers and threw them out so now I can't even return it, really regretting that.End of the dayIt's smaller then A4, A4 pages will stick out.It came mildly marked up and damagedI would have loved this product if only it as was made to fit A4, just 2cm higher and if it came in a better condition.Overall really disappointed
