no birds go in to eat the thisle,dont understand the reason ,my other plastic one worked ,but couldnt keeo squirrels out

I've had this bird feeder for several months. It holds a good amount of nyger seed and the squirrels cannot access it at all. It looks good and works perfectly.

A fair amount of seed leaks through the mesh while you fill it. My only reference point are the flexible fabric sock feeders, so the leaking may be normal for the metal mesh feeders.
