About product: I always loved this product and it does brighten the skin! There’s no doubt about that .. I haven’t used in a while but I am hoping it helps to even out my skin tone as well but definitely a brightener and it calmed the inflammation down on my face !

I have used this product for years. Because I have aging skin, I find the product is a key ingredient in battling dry, rough skin problems.

I was really excited to try this Alchimie Forever Kantic Brightening Moisture Mask; I love that it is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly, made from lots of nourishing botanicals, formulated by Swiss doctors, and manufactured in the USA. The 3.3 fl. oz. container holds a good amount of product, and the mask has a fresh and pleasant scent. The product description says this mask is intended "to speed the recovery of distressed skin and calm irritation", so I thought it would be safe to use on my sensitive skin. Unfortunately, that didn't prove to the be case.I'm not sure which of the ingredients didn't agree with my skin, but shortly after I applied it, I could feel my face flushing. The directions instruct users to apply the mask to cleansed skin, so I had wiped off my skin with micellar cleansing water, rinsed with tap water, and patted dry before applying the mask. I left the mask on for the recommended 15-20 minutes before rinsing it when I showered. When I looked in the mirror after showering (several minutes after rinsing off the mask), my face was very red, blotchy, and hot to the touch. I tried using the mask again the following week but without cleansing first, in the hope that the natural oils on my skin would act as a sort of buffer and minimize the redness. But I had the same result -- red, blotchy, and warm.I *will* say that my skin felt baby-soft and smooth once the redness dissipated, so this mask is clearly effective at improving skin's texture. If you don't have sensitive skin, you'll likely agree with the many 5-star reviews on Amazon. This mask really does seem to be a high-quality product; but despite its claims that it is "ideal for sensitive and sensitized skin", it sadly didn't agree with my skin. I'm rating this 4 stars because I think it would work great for anyone with normal skin...but if you have hyper-sensitive skin like mine, just be aware of a potential reaction.

It is a shame that this product irritated my skin as I was very hopeful it would be gentle enough. I high price for a product that does not work for me.

Not as good as it's says. Somebody says you can use it as a overnight mask, don't do that, it will make you face dryer. It does not do a great job at brightening your face, as least for me.

This product saved my face! Every high end, even organic products, burned my overdried and sensitive skin. I used this an evening moisturizer in the winter and it has saved my face. Bless this manufacturer after all the agony I went through with my skin.

I don't usually have issues with my skin getting irritated by skincare products, however, this product caused an almost immediate burning sensation and mild redness to my skin. I had applied a thin layer with very little rubbing it into my skin when applied. I won't be using it again as it was not an expected experience, nor one I liked.Before applying the brightening moisture mask I washed my face with my usual cleanser and then applied this product to freshly dried skin. I had no irritation, redness or blemishes prior to putting this on my face, so when within a minute or so I noticed my skin felt irritated and was getting red, I was surprised. I had planned on keeping the product on my face and neck for the recommended 15-20 minutes but only lasted 8 minutes before the discomfort was enough that I needed to rinse it off my skin.Once rinsed, my skin calmed down and the redness subsided. I did develop one blemish in the middle of my forehead after using this product, but I think it was either a hive or a blister as it subsided within 24 hours. My skin felt moisturized the next morning though, so I guess that's the best I can say for my experience. 😂I cannot recommend this product due to my reaction to it. It's supposed to be moisturizing and soothing, but at least for me, I couldn't wear it long enough to really get the full benefits. It should also be noted that it says you can wear this product overnight - something I cannot imagine!As for the product's consistency, it's smooth and has a slight iridescent quality to it. It takes very little to get it to emulsify and spread easily over the skin. It looks white initially but quickly went to a more opaque - clear look. And as stated before, it did moisturize, but it also burned and irritated my non-irritation prone skin so I would recommend it only if you don't mind a little gamble as to whether or not it will work for you.
