better than water when requiring a smooth and even painted area

I bought this because I was using water-mixable oils for the first time and, as I had a deadline to meet, I was getting frustrated at the length of time sections of my painting were taking to dry. This medium does help the paint dry more quickly, but I found it made my paint quite thick, so it was difficult to get a smooth, flat surface and some of the faces in my portraits looked a bit lumpy. However, I am by no means a professional artist, so I'm sure that someone who knows what they are doing could easily overcome this problem. It does certainly dry oil paints more quickly, which is important if you want to finish your painting.

I want to switch to a more eco friendly paint but know acrylics well. This simulates some of the effects I’m going for.

Je suis passé aux huiles diluables à l'eau de cette même marque il y a peu de temps pour une question de sensibilité aux diluants traditionnels et j'en suis franchement ravi. Ce medium est vrai plus, il accélère clairement le séchage et surtout il ne sent pas mauvais, une légère odeur d'huile de lin qui est même plutôt agréable pour ma part!

I was hoping that this medium would shorten the drying time down to 24 hours. It has been 36 hours already and my painting is still wet. The upside is a very buttery consistency when added to paint and a pretty sheen on my painting. I was using Cobra water soluble paint.
