I bought this product because I had one job where I needed to drill about 100 holes I didn't anticipate using it after that except on rare occasions. So, I thought the price of this drill allowed me to be frugal in my purchase since my use was going to be very limited. When the product arrived I was impressed by the professional look of the box and the unit itself Once unpackaged i installed a 1/4" masonry bit and drilled a hole. It seemed to work great. I put in back in the box and on my shelf for my big project. 40 days later (which I found out is beyond the Amazon return period) I got the drill out and used it for about 10 holes and it started smoking and stopped working. 10% of my job completed and no drill! Aaargh! Having little to no options, I went to big box store and bought a DeWalt with similar specifications. The Dewalt was $99 instead of $29, but I had to keep working. The DeWalt drill completed the rest of the holes, using the same bit, with ease. Much less laborious and the drill performed flawlessly. Now I am stuck with a non working NEIKO drill! If anyone needs it for parts let me know, it is doing me no good. I will not buy NEIKO again!

Got this as a gift for my husband for Christmas. It was not exactly the one he had requested. He was very pleased with this purchase and says it works great!

Impressed by what I received. The tool did the job I needed perfectly well. Simple to use, very efficient, I am very happy with the purchase. Well worth it. The 1/2 inch chuck is a great feature even without the hammer function. For the money, I recommend this drill over competitors. May be the heavy user of hammer drills may say otherwise, not sure, but for me, a small user, this is a great add-on to the tool box. Never heard of the manufacturer before, but the tool feels like good quality.

Bought it to drill trough some concrete block, and bought a VERY expensive concrete drill bit to use with it. Bits that came with it literally MELTED down to nothing, so they're useless, don't even bother with them. The drill itself was "OK", but took 15 min, and a LOT of physical force to get through a single 1" cider block that was old and crumbling. Gave up on the drill, took a small hand hammer to the brick, and did a quicker and better job. Pretty sad......

Just received this hammer drill, as I need to bore 4 holes in my cement floor to secure my safe. Rental for a hammer drill (industrial quality) is about $45 bucks from Home Depot, so I bought this hammer drill for $30, hoping to get 4 holes before it broke.Honestly, I wasn't expecting much for the price - , but so far, really surprised with the quality and power - rubber handgrips, accessories, lots of features, etc.How can you go wrong at this price?

I wasn't sure the 'hammer' function even worked when I tried it in hand but found it was quite effective on a test bore in a concrete floor. It makes quick work for concrete and masonry drilling compared to a regular drill. I'd recommend to DIY'ers when an expensive industrial tool is not really necessary.

Overly impressed with this hammer drill. I used it to fasten a 2x4 to my concrete basement floor. It went into the floor with great ease. I would definitely buy again for the price. However I cant speak to how long it will last as it is inexpensive and sometimes you get what you pay for. That being said if your a DIYer that will only use this a little, I wouldn't hesitate to buy.
