Since the RC-20 Loop Station was first released in 2001, BOSS has led the way by continually releasing new looping products. Though they’ve been used and enjoyed by various looping artists and performers, BOSS still pursued an easier and more affordable solution. The RC-1 is a straightforward looper that is easy to operate. Experience the fun of looping when you record, playback, overdub, and undo or redo loops using this compact BOSS stompbox. And of course, the RC-1 retains the BOSS quality and performance that musicians around the world have come to expect and rely on. On the top panel, there is a new and innovative loop indicator, which consists of a 24-segment LED laid out in a circular pattern. You can quickly and easily determine the current status of the Rec/Overdub/Play modes. With a maximum 12 minutes of stereo recording time, the RC-1 is capable of capturing any extended performance that you can create or imagine! The stereo in/out jacks can be used with stereo effects and amplifiers. Additionally, they allow you to connect stereo instruments, such as synthesizers. Other convenient features include battery and AC power, as well as flexible external footswitching capabilities. However, the benefits of the Boss are mostly what you can do with it after saving the loop. You can save the files to your computer and use them there if you have pro tools or some type of music producing software. Also, the vox only has mono, whereas the Boss has stereo. However, the Vox holds the trump card if it's effects that you're interested in. Best of luck. **Q: Does it have storage/memory** A: This looping station has only the memory to keep the very last look that you were using. It will keep the loop stored even without power until you are ready to use it again. I use this primarily for soloing over chord progressions, for with it works very well. **Q: Do you stop the loop by pressing the left button, or is it a double tap like the DD-7? Can you stop only one loop, or do you have to stop all?** A: There are 3 ways for each pedal. Left pedal once to record, left pedal again to stop loop and have it still play. Left pedal twice to start sound effects. Hold left pedal to undo. Right pedal once to stop. Right pedal twice to start meteonome. Hold right pedal to switch channels. You're welcome. **Q: Does this product come with a warranty if I buy through amazon?** A: All new Boss products have a 5 year warranty regardless of who you buy them from. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid and clear *by on Reviewed in the United States June 10, 2026* User friendly performance ready out of the box ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice 1st pedal *by on Reviewed in the United States August 25, 2026* Per my experience, this BOSS RC-1 Looper pedal is a nice first level that can be helpful for practicing with improvisation, songwriting, and whatever else you are using it for.Functionality: It works well, but in order to really get it to actually pause, stop, delete an overdub but not deleting the whole thing, you have to fiddle with the modes a little bit by holding the pedal down and then unplugging your cable from the output and then plugging it back in. Then you will see the red band, green band, and red and green band in upward position. This makes this pedal experimental.Power supply does not come with this, so you can buy it separately or buy another 9V battery . It comes with a 9V battery which lasts for a little bit but if you are using it alot, getting a spare can be helpfulFor connectivity, it will not work with a cable that is damaged or lower in quality in my experience. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love the RC-1! *by on Reviewed in the United States November 24, 2025* Simplicity and reliability are why I love this looper. This is my first looper. It works really well, it’s so straightforward. The other models may have more features, but I’m old, I like things that aren’t too complicated.Sound quality is great. No hiss, no issues.Boss makes quality gear what can I say.Very happy with this. These are excellent for practice and composition.Definitely recommend this looper. ## Frequently Bought Together - Boss RC-1 Loop Station - D'Addario Accessories Guitar Pedal Power Supply - DC 9V Power Cord - 9V Power Supply for Guitar Pedals - Pedalboard Power Supply - PW-CT-9V - Fender Professional Series Instrument Cable, Guitar Cable 10 ft, Guitar Accessories, Stage Ready with Anti-Kinking Design, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/10277393-rc-1-loop-station-pedal](https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/10277393-rc-1-loop-station-pedal) --- *Product available on Desertcart Cyprus* *Store origin: CY* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
