The last thing I wanted to do was have to wash out a urine filled pan...not to mentioned the possibility of spillage.These liners are the most awesome product ever invented. All the urine turns to a gel, no odor, no washing the pan. Just pull the bag out, close it up and toss. Only caution I have about them, add kitty litter & baking soda for the smell. The pad is very absorbent, but it is not - repeat, not - flushable. I just keep a kitchen-size trash bag in the bathroom and toss the liner - pad and all - into that. If you're worried about odor, keep some Febreze spray (or similar) on hand and spray it into the trash bag each time you put a used liner/pad in.
