This tool is a game changer for loosening rusty nuts and bolts where a torch can't be used. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who turns wrenches

White insulation serves two important purposes: Electrical insulation from each coil; and insulation from the metal being heated. If you get the target metal too hot, the white insulation fails. There is much hotter insulation, such as the stuff in your kitchen oven controls. Any copper wire 12 gauge or larger can be used as the coil, just snip off the extra strands that don't fit. Solid copper wire works, if it fits (about 10 gauge, I think). Key to longevity is to stop if you see any tiny sparks. This is the coil making bare metal contact. Fiberglass header wrap or woven tube can be placed into the home made coil. Example: Hyundai manufactures cars with little corrosion control under their cars, and an induction heater is the best way to expand and break up rusty suspension bolts. A length of wire can be looped around the end of a shock, burning out the rubber and expanding the rusted inner bushing. Works on hubs, bleed nipples, anyplace you need to melt steel without a torch.

So far so good but time will tell. I tend to think things are gonna be all right. Not some thing I use enough for a definite answer.
