Ignore the previous reviewer. This thing is not for the faint of heart, or the impatient. If you spend the time tweaking this pedal and playing with it, it will reward you in ways you can't imagine. The best way I can describe it is a fuzzy Theremin for electric guitar.I am a former professional guitarist and have played all over the world so I like to think I know what I'm talking about. I also sold boutique instruments, amps, and pedals for a number of years. I've owned several dozen pedals and I can say without a doubt that the Fuzz Probe is by far my favorite and the most unique one in my arsenal. If you're willing to bite the bullet and spend this much on a pedal, spend the time to learn how to use it.Trust me, this is one kick ass, fun and wild effect!

I spent 3 months trying to decide which fuzz pedal was right for me. I narrowed down my search to the red witch fuzz god 2 and this hunk of junk. The reason I went with the probe is because in the demos I had watched on you tube I saw the possibility of creating violent squeals on command during solos and having live tonal manipulation. Instead I came to find the exact opposite. The pedal is designed completely backwards from the way it should be. Instead of starting off with a stable fuzz and getting more insane as you further engage the copper plate it starts of making the most annoying squeal that won't stop until you put your foot on the damn thing. Now I don't know about you but I like to move around while I play. I don't want to constantly keep my foot planted on this over priced paper weight. All in all I'd say don't give in to the hype of this pedal and try something else that you had in mind cuz this pedal well waste your time, your bands time and your money.
