My refrigerator is about eight years old and I wanted to keep an eye on the temperature in case it might begin to wear out. These thermometers are the answer. While probably not accurate to scientific standards, they seem fine for the intended purpose. I found that at room temperature the two thermometers were reading about two or three degrees different from each other. Setting them next to a known accurate thermometer, the true temperature seemed to be about in the middle so I would rate these as being quite accurate at least at room temperature. I placed one in the refrigerator and the other in the freezer. I found that while each was in the necessary temperature range, there was some difference in temperature depending on where I placed the thermometers. Interesting. I like that the thermometers have colored bands for each temperature range. When they are placed towards the back of a shelf the numbers might be difficult to read, but with the colored band it is easy to tell what the temperature is. I feel I can now relax and if I ever see the temperature begin to rise I'll know its time for refrigerator replacement.

My less than 3 year old fridge didn't seem like it was working properly. Got these because while it's a new model, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles some do. When they arrived they were hot (it's like 95 degrees these days) so I put them both in the freezer. After about 1 hour I checked them. My freezer is great, it was -20. I put 1 in the fridge. After an hour I checked and my suspicions were correct. My fridge was 50 degrees. I'm going to get another set for my chest freezer. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that it's a little small and these old eyes aren't what they used to be. I'm not looking for spot on accuracy either. Just a range is fine for my needs and the price was right.

We had a recent issue with our refrigerator (we cleaned the underbelly, incl. the coils & not sure that's what did it, but it's working again lol) so I ordered these to check the temp of both the freezer & refrig. Unfortunately, a few days after I put them in, I accidentally dropped the one from the refrig & it seemed to affect it a bit b/c it started reading warm so I switched it with the one from the freezer & both seem to be working fine now. Both temps show to be in the appropriate range.

They work great. I leave them in my refrigerator so I can monitor the temperature 🌡.

I bought the pair for our garage fridge. I first tested them in our main fridge that has built in digital temp for both fridge and freezer. The thermometers read a couple of degrees warmer but no big deal, I'm not storing COVID vaccine. The face is not easy to read but has easy to see "zones" for fridge/freezer operation. That's all I need for my simple application. Had them for a month and no complaints.
