Can this used on an rv at the roof edges?

Yes, it would be a good application to use it. We use it to seal around windows when we replace windows in an existing home. We use it because it has superior adehsion qualities, expansion qualities and it can also be painted. My first choice would be pure silicone sealant, but it cant be painted. Definitely clean the surface well, scrape off any old sealant and loose paint before applying.
