Power Systems Airope Original, Weighted Jump Rope Alternative, Light Resistance, Pair, Green/Black (34901)

I absolutely love these. I use them with the MBF workouts on BeachBody. The weighted balls really work my arms and wrist, not to mention they add to the cardiovascular conditioning when jumping. So versatile, I can "jump rope" anywhere now without worrying that the rope will catch on things indoors. Good quality as well.

I've used this now just a few times and I can't believe how poorly this product was assembled/made because the ball just just came undone. When I looked at it very carefully, the ball was literally glued on to the string as I can clearly see the rough glue surrounding the area of the ball attaching to the string. I can't believe that they charge almost $50 for this piece of crap as it is obviously one of the cheapest assembled product I have ever seen!!! Don't buy this!!!

I purchased the Airope Original (green) after seeing them mentioned in a fitness article. They do give a great cardio and toning workout, and I feel like there is a lot to be creative with because of its style, even though I didn't purchase any of the DVDs. I also don't have a lot of space in which to workout so that was another plus to purchasing these. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because of the handles. After working out for 20 minutes, the material on the handles became very "gritty" and though nothing was coming off on my hands, it felt uncomfortable enough to notice. It could be because the material is not of great quality or perhaps they need to be used for a few more workouts to break them in.

This is a great idea for those of us who do not have high ceilings, or have ceiling fans that get in the way of actual jump roping. It does take a little time to get the movements synchronized to actual rope jumping, but even while learning how to handle it, you are still jumping and exercising! I have not had any trouble with quality either.

Since I'm not very coordinated this makes jumping rope a breeze.I highly recommend it. Very well made and durable.try one out.

One of the balls fell off and have only had them since July. They should last longer than 3 months.

My wife and I love the airope! The rubber balls have just enough weight to them to simulate a real jump rope. We've been using them for about a year now, with only 2 minor gripes: the first is that a smooth, steel, ball-bearing system would be much better than the plastic joint...even though it does the job. Steel bearings would make this a really high quality product. (I think Lifeline has started making one with steel bearings...but it doesn't have the rubber balls...it has lighter foam balls.) The other thing is that the balls have a tendency to come flying off. It's happened to my wife three times now. But when she put them back on, they pretty much stayed on. That seems to be a very easy fix: attach something larger than the tubing to the end of the tube so it can't slip out of the ball. Overall, this is a solid ropeless jump rope that allows you to jump rope in rooms where you wouldn't normally be able to. Well worth the money.
