Seismic Audio - SA-15T-PW-Pair - Pair of Powered 2-Way 15" PA / DJ Speaker Cabinets with Titanium Horns

Wow...these speakers exceeded my expectations, in build and especially sound quality. I have played hours of deep house music in the two weeks I've had these speakers, with no hiccups yet. The clarity of sound and range were astonishing, and removed any doubts I had about using these in an outdoor setting, near two very busy intersections in downtown Indy. The deep bass especially surprised me... in a very pleasant way. I received a lot of positive comments from passersby that they could hear the music - clearly- over 2-3 blocks away. Astonishingly enough, at the same time, those that were seated near me never complained about it being too loud, and were able to carry conversations without yelling at one another. That speaks to the excellent clarity of these speakers. I only had them at 40-60 percent of max volume, as I was worried about overrunning its capabilities. The sound quality is amazing for the price. As I've only had these for a few weeks, longevity will be the true test...as I plan on using these outdoors quite often..as we enter the heat of the summer here in Indy. The sound quality and build are excellent for the price. Now, for the longevity test.

These speakers are JUNK. The cabinet's are nicely built & look good, but it's what Seismic Audio puts inside them that is NOT WORTH anything. I bought a pair of these speakers thinking they could add to my KJ system with the "titanium horns" & they did - for the FEW TIMES they did work. One of the speaker's would "intermittently" work until it completely went out with less than 30 hours of use. Then Seismic Audio wanted ME to "pull the amp" out of the back of the speaker which required removing a bunch (12 or more) screws & then cutting the wires so I could send them the amp. This speaker was under "warranty" & I had to do the removal & I had to pay to ship the bad part back.They sent me back a new amp so "I could finish their repair for them" but when they said I needed to solder the wires (meaning I needed to go buy a solder gun) that was it. I had to argue with the manager about, "why should I be doing YOUR REPAIR JOB" when they finally agreed to send me another speaker because I told them I was going to write a review here at Amazon to let YOU all know to avoid these speaker's. The replacement speaker worked for less than 20 hours when it started doing the same thing - it worked intermittently (it'd work 1 hour sometimes, other times it'd work for only 15 to 20 minutes & finally it did not work at all ).They told me the speaker is out of warranty, but I can't help but think they sent me a "bad replacement speaker" because I had to force them to send me 1 when I didn't want to "solder the wires on the first piece of crap speaker". I think they sent me someone else's "return".I've used my JBL speaker's for 15 YEARS on my KJ system with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever & they are 35 YEARS OLD!I bought these in November of 2016 & 1 of the speaker's has worked fine, but the other 1 has NOT. I've had to call their tech department too many times & then I have to go through their lengthy "trouble-shooting process" which means having to connect & disconnect many different components to finally pin-point the problem which is THEIR SPEAKER!!!I DO THINK the manager or supervisor sent me a "bad replacement speaker" because he didn't want to replace it & he didn't like me complaining about "having to DO THE REPAIR MYSELF" which meant I'd have to buy a solder gun & then solder the wires so they'd be connected "properly". I think the supervisor took another "returned speaker that had a amp which also over-heated (this is what I think the problem is) after a short period of time (20 minutes to 2 hours) & sent it to me instead of sending me a "NEW" replacement speaker. I've had to call their tech support 10+ times in the last 2 years which is way TOO many. The first guy I talked to a few days ago kept repeating the same thing everything I told him these speakers have "cheap components inside" (remember, I've had to open & see what's inside - about $40 worth of generic speakers & a cheap amp that has over-heating issues) - he say, "well we sure sell a lot of these speaker's".Well, Yugo sold a lot of cars too, but that doesn't mean they were built good or Yugo would still be in business today. If you want to buy "the Yugo of speakers then these are the PERFECT choice", but kiss your money goodbye & get ready to become your own speaker repair shop!Rusty in their customer service department pointed out that I bought these speakers 2 years ago & so there was NO warranty coverage even though the "replacement" was about 10 - 12 months old, but he could give me the name of a repair facility near me so I could pay them to fix Seismic Audio's piece of crap speaker. That's when I dropped a few F-bombs on him & he of course used it to end our call. I've spent probably 50+ hours "trouble-shooting" these speakers the last 24 months all because SOME or MANY of the "amps" used in these cheap speakers have an "over-heating issue" which makes them "work intermittently" or STOP working 100% after 20-30 hours of use.I'm calling Amazon now to tell them everything because they deserve to know. I will throw these speakers away & buy either JBL's or Yamaha powered speakers but I'm warning you all now to stay away from these speakers or you will go through a very frustrating experience. I've had to waste another hour writing this, but when I told Rusty I was going to write this review if I got no remedy from Seismic Audio all he could say was, "if that's how you want to waste your time then go ahead". So there was NO WAY I was NOT going to write this review.DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS & I'd never buy anything from Seismic Audio again! BUYER BEWARE!

I ordered these even though i read all the bad reviews, i just went ahead and ordered them i recieved them today and played them full blast for about an hour or two and everything worked fine. No over heating and they sounded really nice and used them outside, i will be using these for maily parties and are well worth the money. Bass and voice are really good they seem well built once again i wont be using these for business, but wouldnt see an issue with someone using them as such. It was worth the risk really happy =)

I did not order these from Amazon but directly from the sellers website and saved an extra 12% AND free shipping ! We ordered on Saturday, they shipped on Monday and were delivered, well packed in Styrofoam and in perfect condition on Wed ! We finally got around to opening & setting them up today, Saturday. Man, they are HEAVY and solid as a rock. We connected them to the mixer, attached an Ipod, yes, an IPOD, just to try them out and WOW ! Words alone cannot describe the sound and performance . It blew me away,,, brought tears to my eyes ! And power !!! I think, if you could actually tolorate the volume and were to crank these things up much beyond half volume they would LITERALLY BLOW you away. ! Crisp and clear highs, midtones and incredible lows that rattle the windows & the entire house for that matter. Dont be fooled by the price... These speakers are Top notch, VERY high quality, very well built, solid as a rock Pro quality speakers.. The speakers were ordered to replace worn out speakers used in a mobile DJ business and far far out perform any other speaker we have ever used... We'll be proud to show off these babies and our customers will be glad they hired US !Customer service Update: We also ordered the speaker stands made for these speakers. One of them arrived with a broken adjustment knob. I emailed support on Saturday afternoon. They responded by email today, Monday, that they have shipped out a replacement knob ! I had also contacted support at an earlier date, in hindsight, with kind of a dumb question, about the product which they also responded to just as quickly and very professionally in spite of it being a kind of dumb question ! I have no doubt, should I need to contact support in the the future that they will be there for us ! Great company, great product. I highly recommend them !
