Excellent Choice for Student/Worker on the Go! Fast & Reliable
Purchased in August for my daughter to have for school. Since it's a school requirement that she have a computer since they run all their school programs via Google Aps and they use online textbooks we had to find something that works quickly, easily and with a decent price.Originally we had a old Macbook which was fine but after having soda spilled on it and finding out repairs would cost more than we had originally paid for it we had to look around for a better price point. The computer needed to be speedy, lightweight since it was going to be carried around school and back/forth each day. We decided to try out the Chromebook thinking if it didn't quite do the trick we could swap it out later in the year and make it our home computer and get our child something else. The Chromebook worked much much better than expected. We're a few months into the school year and we've had nothing but positive experiences with it. It's fast, has easy access to all Play Store items, connects to the school WiFi without hassle (lots of kids in class can't say the same thing), works wonderful off line to work on documents and quickly and easily saves things to Google Drive without any type of hassle or hiccup.Initially the tech person at school wasn't happy when my daughter opened up a Chromebook saying it would be nothing but problems and she needed a Windows or preferably a Mac to be able to "work" on their system. Within 24 hours he had changed his tune since she was the only person not having issues getting online and being able to access her school emails & the schools online learning management system (Haiku).Yes sometimes she's needed to come home and use another computer to create a .doc file for a report but it hasn't happened more than a few times and it was because she was working with people in a group setting who couldn't understand how to use Google Drive. All and all this Chromebook is well worth the money! Just remember you need to be "on line" to do most things and you'll enjoy it. Perfect for a student or really any grade from HS to College to use while on the go. Leave your expensive computer at home while not losing a pretty robust set of apps designed for school/work.Pro'sExcellent DisplayFast internet accessNo worries about virusesIndividual log-ins for multiple usersVery short learning curve (much quicker than switching for Windows to Mac)LightweightSound QualityConsNone at this time but if any arise I will update my review

Great product!
You know, a Chromebook is a combination of software and hardware.Software: Google Chrome OS works better than I expected. It is fast and responsive. It starts up and opens websites really really fast. Comparing to other browsers running on Windows, it is at least 1 time faster than Chrome itself, 2 - 3 times faster than Firefox, 5 times faster than IE. So far I found 95% of apps that I need in google webstore. The missing ones is: media player like QQ Player that is compatible with all type of media.Hardware: It is solid, light weight, and looks good. Comparing to APPLE MacAir and ACER S3, it weights about the same but a bit thicker. The screen is clear and can be viewed at any angle. The flip joint is steady. The speaker is a bit low but sounds great with a pair of ear bud. The touchpad, once you learn how to use it from “Get Started”, you will love it. The built-in HDMI port works flawlessly with my 56-inch LCD TV. The USB port recognizes my wireless keyboard so I can play YouTube videos in the bed. If Google WebStore provided the Media Player like those in Android phone, I could throw away the Roku box. The battery lasts about 4 hours. My only complain is the keyboard layout. I don’t know why they make all navigation keys (up,down, left, right, pgup, pgdn) so tiny, squeezed in the same space as one huge right SHIFT key. Here I want to say: all keys are born equal and subject to the size of normal human figures. Also the HOME and END keys are positioned awkwardly on the top, inside of INS and DEL key.Over all, I am quite satisfied with the product. I can use it to accomplish most things, for both fun and business. At the price, it is the best value in the market. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great laptop, except very limited...
So I've had this laptop for some time now, and although I find the price very affordable and the browsing quality good, I did find the book to be very limited. Meaning: You can only open specific streaming file types, you can't edit word documents, if you want to print you have to set it up through cloud (= more loop holes to jump through for the non-tech savvy individuals), and worst of all you can't uninstall the OS and switch to Windows. So your stuck with a browsing laptop, period. Also there's no trash file, so if you accidentally delete a file/photo, it's gone. FOREVER... Really consider these factors before buying, because you'll really notice how limited the laptop is after a couple of months. It does its job as a browsing laptop and that's it. Hope this helps.

Chrome Toy
It is a good web browsing machine with all of Google's apps and on line programs. It dose not have much versatility but is very reasonably priced.
