Great build quality, 50+wt oil advised
Update: they definitely earned their 5 star rating. My only complaint is the springs are a bit too soft, I’d like a step up in stiffness to be considered. This is based on my use in a slash 4x4 lcg. I have to say I’m very impressed by the initial build quality of these shocks. The package was much heavier than I was initially expecting. They are full aluminum bodies and caps, they only have a plastic piston, lower eyelet and spring retainer which all feel well build and HD. I currently have them installed on a arrma granite 4x4 with custom drilled holes as they don’t fit in the standard holes (too short to reach them) but of course they where not advertised to. They do have a decent amount of yellow oil in the shocks that do need to be dumped before use. If you’re going to use them on a truck like this (including the pede and slash 4x4) I highly recommend you purchase a minimum of 50wt oil. I’m personally gonna be running 60wt.

Not butt plugs
Not used for what I thought but luckily I had an old rc car in the garage so I was able to use them....they work well, car stopped bumping its little tight booty on the ground all the time and ready has much more cushion for the pushion if you know what I mean.

You get what you pay for.
Very cheap and flimsy shocks. I filled and bled them several times, still wouldn’t hold up. The springs were constantly popping off due to the bottom retainers breaking off.I finally spent the money and got some Traxxas big bore shocks. Avoid these. Spend a bit more and get a quality product that won’t frustrate.

Pay more for quality shocks. Started leaking oil too fast.
Great looking beefy shocks. However, looks can be deceiving. After about 2 hours of ride time, one shock is leaking oil. They also do not come with any oil inside them.

Good value, not great for jumps
Works as intended. The plastic mount broke off after a dozen big jumps. The overall diameter is larger than standard 1/10 Traxxas shocks

Poor quality
Front shock broke leaked an the shaft was wobbling after 2 battery packs. All running on grass no jumps. For the money ZD racing shocks work way better. Should’ve stuck with ZD

Not very good for bashing. Good for short course!
