Very comfortable, soft and warm. They stretched easily when I put them on then hugged my feet like a tailored glove, thanks to the 3% 'Elastane' composition and the built in 'rubber band' reinforcement. There are no nasty seams but if you turn them inside out you will see short threads which are probably a result of the splicing technique. These are not noticeable when the socks are being worn.Due to the large size of my calves, I usually have to cut through the thread that holds the hem turnover at the top of my socks to avoid deep grooves. Although they still have good elasticity, these socks seem to be more generously cut in that area so I have not had to do this and am very pleased with my purchase.

Well it definitely pays to have the right socks! I’m a dog walker so am on my feet the best part of the day and easily walk 8miles a day. Just worn them to go take my own dog out. I didn’t feel like I was wearing any boots! No socks moving around or slipping down. Very impressed and pleased with these socks 👍🐶🐾

If I could give 6 stars and 11 out of 10 for these socks I wouldhaving always worn the 1000 mile socks, naturally when they wore out I bought more, ..... terrible blisters where you've never had blisters before, I bought these as my partner had bought them previous, so comfortable, they have well been put to the test some of the places we have walked and scrambled, not a blister not a sore foot, they are amazing and a fraction of the price of some of the other better know manufacturers , this company will go a long way, oh and they don't shrink would recommend to anyone

Best socks I’ve ever had. I’m an active farmer’s wife & I spend most of my time in wellies & walking boots. These socks are cool, comfortable & offer some support & cushioning & best of all they don’t slip down. I love them & I’ll be buying some more when these wear out & some for my husband

...I ordered the 9.5 - 11 size and the 9.5 are tight on my 9.5 feet!!!Comfortable enough and not too difficult to fit or remove but they are tight straight from the package so if the shrink my wife has five pairs of socks for her wellies.Too thin to be worn on their own in walking boots and slightly too thick with woollen socks.I can see this being an expensive exercise to get the right match of liner and outer sock. Especially as every manufacturer has a different idea what constitutes an english size 9.5...The search continues.

I bought a couple of pairs of these last winter to wear under my heavy walking boots. I just bought another five pairs so I can wash and wear. They wash well and are just as good as new. Very very thick and comfortable under boots. My feet are lovely and warm though I know when it gets really cold my toes will freeze but that is because my circulation is not as good as it was due to my great age. Nothing to be done about it and those warming things you can buy don’t work at all. The colours of the socks are fun too bit that that affects anything! Don't hesitate to buy these if you want to be comfortable under heavy walking boots.

I was unjustly harsh in my comments about these socks when I first had them. Now, several months down the line, I think it is only fair to submit a revised review.I criticized then originally for not giving enough support at the top of the sock. This was unfair. The feel of the grip is slightly different to that of the socks I had been wearing regularly prior to these, but having worn them on a regular basis for a while now, the level of grip in these is every bit as good and effective.They have continued to hold their shape well and are still comfortable and look good. Happy to update my thoughts and I would gladly buy these again.

Was after a comfy sock for walking and was fed up of overpaying for ‘branded’ hiking socks. I found these on Amazon which were offering 5 pairs for the price I’d been paying for one! Decided to give them a go and I’m glad I did. They are really comfortable and give a lovely padded feel to your foot. The arch is supported by an elasticated mid foot which gives just enough without feeling pressured or squeezed. Nice length and colours too.I’ve not had them long enough to comment about the long term durability but I’ve been disappointed by some big brand socks which quickly developed holes in the heel. If these wear well long term I will definitely buy again.
