Non-Electric Humidifier

I was excited to find this product because I had used non-electric humidifiers before. These however, were not like the ones that I left behind in my previous home. I didn't get an accurate view of the style before I purchased them, or perhaps didn't pay attention. They have open vents on each side, and because of that, the sponge dries out very quickly. The ones I had before were a closed unit with a sponge in it, and you could add water to the vent on top every couple of days, and they worked great. I was hoping these would work the same way, but they don't. They have to be saturated constantly, and it's time consuming. After you wet the sponge, you wind up dripping water all over as you carry them to the baseboard. They clip on very easily, but the water doesn't last long enough in my opinion, to be effective in providing humidity to the air. I would NOT recommend! I should have returned them.

Have to refill every nigh with water and getting the excess water out before putting the humidifier on the vents is quite a job. Especially having to do this every night.

The "sponge" is too dense to absorb water. It doesn't work and it moves around too easily.
