While I was initially a bit skeptical of how functional the Desmond DBC-50 would be given the price, I have been pleasantly surprised. It feels solid and is reasonably well machined. It also tightens down well on my Kirk plate and Desmond 250mm rail, as well as the Arca rail on my Sunwayfoto panning clamp. In my use case, I often have the camera mounted vertically (pointed at the table), so it's important for this to clamp tightly, and it does so - I've had no issues.I've included a couple photos. They were technically taken for another review, but in the first you can see the Desmond DBC-50 used to attach the Sunwayfoto panning clamp to the long Desmond rail on my macro setup.
