Colonel Conk Model 232 Santa Fe Shave Cup, Mixed Badger Brush, Chrome Razor and Soap

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. It is a nice set- especially for someone moving from an electric razor. It was sharp, but not too sharp for a beginner to get the hang of a wet shave. The soap has a good scent. I also purchased an after shave from this brand. All very nice. I have read a few reviews that mentioned the box wasn't up to par, but I thought the box was nice- even for a gift.Room for improvement: 1. The soap bowl doesn't have a lid. 2. The razor stand broke within just a few days. This left my husband with a brush and a razor to balance on a bowl without a lid:-/ Overall, he has been happy with the product.

I ordered this and was expecting it to take a little bit of time with the holiday rush, but it came two days later! Simple box, but very nice ceramic hand made bowl, brush is a heavier build, and the soap my husband really likes. The only thing I have to say is the razor is nice and weighted, but the blades themself are very cheap. I was hoping it would be a single blade, but alas no. It is a double blade. Since my husbands hair is very course, it dulls the blades quickly, and his hair gets stuck very badly in the blades.

Good product. Been using the brush and cup for several months now. I purchased a safety razor so didn't use the razor that came in this kit, but the kit was cheaper than purchasing individual. The soap worked well and I used it up but didn't care for the lime smell. I purchased a different soap refill. Mostly purchased this for the brush and soapdish. These work great.

Nice quality and smells good!

This is a great product combination. The brush and soap provide a great lather that provides you with a close, comfortable shave. If you want to try this method of shaving this is a good way to get started.

It is a good buy, I only wish the soap bowl had a lid on it or something instead of wide open like it is. Aside from this small inconvenience, I am satisfied with it.

I haven't given this to my husband yet so I will not review the actual products. However, the box is ratty and torn, the items are all separately packed and thrown in there haphazardly with Styrofoam peanuts. It does not look like the picture at all and I am embarrassed to give this to my husband as a gift. It looks cheap and I will most likely allow him to return for a better quality product.

I gave it to my dad this morning and he loves it already, old school product and great price. He hasn't used it yet but before I have it to him I made sure it was good quality. Buy it!
