Although the ‘NF Approved Breathalyser’ is listed as one of the products required to travel in Europe, and the kit claims to insure against all spot fines, the breathalyser is not included in the pack!!!This marketing I found highly misleading and not up to the standards I would expect of Amazon or the AA.

We received this ready for my daughters 17th Birthday tomorrow as we've bought her a little car and when I opened the box up so I could wrap it, itvwadnt in the box as advertised, it was in a dirty yellow bag which was completely filthy, covered in black marks & the handle was fraid & broke (See photo) I didn't have anything else to give her & I couldn't send it back because it's her birthday tomorrow. So I've taken all the items out of the bag & put them in a nice box so they look better. Very disappointed!!! Update - she was pleased with the items until she took out the jump leads & one of the plastic handles feel off exposing all the wire. It's disgusting that it cost me over £40 in total for this rubbish. I'm so upset for my daughter & I feel terrible that I have it to her as a present. I'm now seeking a full refund!

Even though I did not read the item description. I did read other reviews which all mention the breathalyser. This DOES NOT come with one. To return the item is £4. To buy a separate breathalyser is £5. So please please pay attention to the description NOT THE REVIEWS which seem to be misleading to say the least. Also note that a “European travel pack”. Should include what you need to drive in Europe. This doesn’t

I was surprised to see that despite the description (UK Badge) the kit still contains GB sticker (I have ordered it on Monday 27th of Sep and received next day) which as of today is no longer valid in Europe, but that the Breathalyzers have less than a year expiry date (March 2022). For the latter I didn't do any research so I could be persuaded that it is a decent expiry date. But all in all i am not all that impressed since I have to now buy proper UK Badge and remember to buy new breathalyzers in few months time.Rest of the kit seems ok.

==NOTE: I AM REVIEWING THE 'AA WINTER EMERGENCY KIT' AND 'AA VEHICLE BREAKDOWN SAFETY KIT PLUS'==-BOTH PRODUCTS PURCHASED FROM AND FULFILLED BY AMAZONUK-I've never understood why so few people in the UK have things like this in their vehicles, as with a fire extinguisher... you might never need it but you'll regret not having it if you do.Both products don't take up much of any space in the boot, they have velcro on the bags which prevents them from sliding around all over the place (which also means it keeps my mini refrigerator from doing the same).They are good standard little kits, all self-contained inside the bag and fits inside the car without taking up much space, the bags are bright yellow and easy to see.If you're a newer driver, like myself (I only got my licence in 2018) then it's a good standard go-to set of kits for you.Better to be prepared and not use it than to be unprepared and need it.

With winter, and therefore dark nights fast approaching, I saw this on a lightning deal and grabbed it. It's one of those things that nobody needs 99% of the time, but if you happen to be in that 1% moment, then it could really matter and you'll be glad to have had it in the car. If I was to be critical of the pack, the batteries that come with the torch or not from high quality brand, and the shelf life of them only gives 25 months from my date of purchase. I also think a tow rope would have made a great addition too, however I suspect the price would therefore be raised, meaning potentially less cars having such a kit in so can understand why cost measures have been implemented here. The touch does come with a small plastic cover inside it though which stops the batteries from being drained prematurely. It's up to you whether you take this out now or leave in until you require it's usage.For what you get though, you can tell the overall quality is good. The shovel has a good weight to it and whilst it may not last many years of service, it will last you during a moment of crisis or two and beyond. It all fits into a nicely sized pack which won't get in the way in even the smallest of boots. Highly recommend.

Luckily I did not need to use the triangle, breathalysers or hi-viz jacket, but the seemed fit for purpose. I did successfully fit, and remove, the headlight diverters. What was not fit for purpose was the GB sticker, which I tried to fit just before we left for the ferry terminal. The strength of the magnetic adhesion was insufficient to keep it on the car in even a very slight wind or going over a bump. I did try it on other suitable metals in the house with the same effect. I had no confidence that it would stay on. Managed to beg one, adhesive, from the check in at Brittany Ferries. Surprising for an AA branded product. Have used magnetic stickers in the past with no issues.

WARNING! These review are for the whole AA product range not just the item you're looking at.Initial breakdown kit was ok however I purchased a Euro Travel kit for another vehicle. Out of this kit the bulbs were useless as none of them fit a modern day car. The first aid kit was barely sufficient enough to treat one person with a splinter, not multiple casualties at an RTC.If you're after something to stop yourself getting a penalty in the EU this won't help as it's missing the all important breathalyser required in France. False advertising!Let's just hope we don't need to rely on this kit in an emergency situation.Fortunately I've got additional kit to fill the gaps but the AA should be a more responsible here. The only useful items are the GB sticker, light reflectors and high vis jacket. All of which can be purchased at a fraction of the cost.
