I did not expect that it would change my life ....
I studied Chinese martial arts and I knew "something" about accupressure, Qi Gong. I practiced Wing Chun, Pa Kua and some Tai Chi Chuan. After a car crash I had to stop all my sporting activities due to neck injuries and back pain. My energy level dropped since 2011. I nearly managed to walk my dogs without back pain knee pain or intense neck pain.I cannot use pain killers regularly; ... I did some fysiotherapy, but it did not work at all. When I bought a new smartphone I installed the amazon Kindle app on it and after a while i got the recommendations from amazon.com. I thought: why not ? So I bought this ebook from William Lee together with three other books from Lee (TAE 1 and 2 and the other chi-book).When I opened the book, I told myself to follow this manual for about a month. I new some of the exercises in another form from stretching and Tai chi class, others were completely new to me. They were easy, some did some pain when stretching. After just one round of excercises, I felt a lot better ... I read the exercises again, watched the video on-line and tried to do them perfectly. After two weeks i felt no pain at all anymore. I walked my dogs and suddenly I realised that i was pain-free ... It's a bit like Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh says about mind and no-mind, he compares with tootache and no-tootache, if you have totache, you just know what no-tootache is when the pain stops (it's a bit like heaven .... so it feels for back-pain sufferers, no-pain feels like being in heaven. I do the exercises one time a day every day of the week in the morning. Every time it feels better and better and the 'Chi' flows stronger and stronger every day. This is the best self-help book I ever read, it worked. Thanks to the writer and those who were in the video.

A good basic manual for anyone into Tai Chi fitness exercises.
As a senior citizen who has more than 6 decades of training (both as a student and instructor) in numerous martial art and Internal energy systems (Judo, Jujitsu, Karate-Do, Boxing, Krav Maga, Wrestling, Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga) I am always seeking new written material on these subjects.Since I had recently read a short manual (5-minute Chi Boost) by this author and I liked his simple, efficient, and articulate approach he takes when writing his books I decided to purchase a number of his other manuals, this is one of them (Total Chi-Fitness: Stretching Exercise for energy boost, ultimate fitness and health by Sifu William Lee).Like his other manuals the author fully explains why he wrote the text and what it will do to improve your health in body, mind and spirit. If you read his book on 5-minute Chi Boost and liked it you will also enjoy this total chi fitness manual. The following material is covered in this 96 page book:Real health from inside out, proof is in the pudding, 5-minute boost difference, short history, basic characteristics, closer look, quick look inside, how to prepare, perfect mindset, space, Ci breathing, repetition, best time for practicing, how often, few rules, sweet spot, and 18 Chi Fitness Exercises. I found these 18 exercises easy to do even though with my medical issues I had to do them seated in a chair rather than standing.Since I also teach an easy seated version of Tai Chi/Qigong/Yoga to seniors I was quite familiar with most of these movements; nevertheless, I found this volume easy to understand and a good basic manual for anyone seeking a simple and effective program for learning some Chi-Fitness exercises.Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Chair/Seated Tai Chi/Qigong/Yoga stretching for seniors and the physically challenged).

Another excellent book by Sifu William Lee
This book addresses the issue of optimizing Qi flow with Qi breathing and stretching primarily the involuntary postural muscles where most of the unconscious tension of stress accumulates. Like Sifu William Lee's other books it gives easy, highly valuable and practical instruction . I am a retired California physician who has practiced both Western medicine and acupuncture so I have experience in both Eastern and Western healing methods. I started Qigon practice about five years ago when I recognized that it is far better and easier to keep the Qi in one's meridians flowing freely than to try to remedy blockages and illnesses once they have become established. In addition to my other Qigong practice I have put Sifu William Lee's techniques to practice in my daily life with very noticeable positive results in terms of energy, vitality and well being. His methods are clearly presented and extremely cost efficient in terms of time and energy required to learn and apply. They are deceptively simple but for those who are willing to actually put them into practice the benefits will be easily recognizable. I have purchased and applied all of Sifu's books and each is a gem in its own right; each providing a different but equally potent tool for maintaining balanced Qi flow throughout one's body. The price of Sifu's books is as very low as the value is very high. Sifu William Lee has done a great service by providing this valuable ancient practice to the general public is such a user friendly form.Arun Seeley, M.D.

Hmmmm... pointless?
I've read 40+ books and practiced Taiji and qigong for about 15 years. This book does cover "basics" of poses. Stances, body poses, poise, breathing... All these things are covered sufficiently. That's why I gave it 3 stars.Unfortunately, there is very little about the motion or cycling of chi (Qi), if any at all. What I am unsure of is: what good is a book about qigong if there is no Qi or gongfu? Hence, only 3 stars.

Hält was es verspricht.

Magic
An absolute blessing. I have been pursuing ways to obtain true fitness all through my life, but now I am a little older with a family of my own, certain pressures have intervened, preventing me spending so much time playing sport, working out or whatever. This book had me hooked from the start. Yes, it is very short. Yes, the exercises are very basic (seemingly), but I can tell you that for me, personally, it beats every other workout I have tried. It is actually enjoyable, makes me feel amazing, gives me energy, clears my mind, boosts confidence, rids me of those little aches and pains - need I go on. I think that each and every one of Sifu Lee's predictions in terms of health benefits have appeared after only a month or two.A truly amazing find of which I am both grateful and am confident enough to recommend to anyone who wants to find some form of relief in today's hectic, chaotic society.
