Worked great to make extra breakout harness for multiple microphones in acoustic test equipment. GP

I used this to make a custom breakout for an Apple IIc+ video port, to get composite and line level audio out of the machine. This clamshell connector works perfectly.

Easy to wire and works good.

Part has strain relief clamp inside and kit even includes a small screw driver. I replaced the DB15 connector on my automotive OBD scan tool! This saved me from buying a new $50 cord! Part feels pretty durable. Due to the screw down terminal boards inside, the housing is slightly bulkier than the original plug(about 3/4" longer), but this shouldn't be a problem for most situations. No instructions included, but someone doing this sort of repair should already be familiar with how it works. Part arrived quickly and it a ziploc bag inside another to avoid loosing parts.

So grateful that they sell products like this on Amazon. It allowed me to make a stereo breakout cable to hook into the back of my vectorscope for viewing stereo wave forms in an XY format. It worked perfectly for my use!

This seems like a good product, but I gave it 3 stats because I could not use it. The reason I could not use it that unbeknownst to me, DB 15 connectors come with more than one pin configuration. Even though there are 15 pins, some of the DB15 connectors have 3 rows of pins, and some of them have 2 rows of pins. So make sure and choose the DB15 with the correct number of rows of pins for your application. ; )

This is a perfectly good screw terminal to DA-15 (commonly but incorrectly known as DB-15) adapter. There's enough room in the housing to insert wires without removing the board from the housing and the board is held in well with friction. Caveats: The included screwdriver fits the screw terminals but not the cable clamp screws, which are Phillips. The screw terminals are the type where it is possible to insert a wire while it's tightened — you have to make sure to unscrew the screw before inserting the wire.

This breakout d connector is skookum as frigg! I can't believe somebody didn't dream this idea up 20 years ago. If you need to build up a weird cable with an obsolete connector style this is the way to go. This is an extremely high quality product it was packaged appropriately and delivered on time. I can't say enough great things about this I would certainly buy another one.
