Finally, just what we were looking for
Ever since the ascendancy of Seattle-style coffee in the world, we've been having trouble finding our favorite roasts. Everything we tried seemed to be either watery and bland with no body, or overpoweringly bitter with no subtlety. For awhile we had a specialty roaster who painstakingly made what he called his "European" roast; something fuller in structure and flavor than traditional American, but not the overwhelming oily bitterness of the trendy new styles which he would disparagingly call "burnt beans." We had the great fortune to visit him in his roastery a number of times, where he would show us the painstaking work that went into his small batch offerings while he regaled us with stories of where he learned various techniques, where he bought his beans, and the unusual life of a coffee man.His coffee was exceptional. He had a devoted following of which we were a part. We bought his coffee by the case.Unfortunately, he died. The group that bought his company kept the name but that was all; after a few bags of what tasted like burned mud, it was back to looking for a good cup of joe again.Flash forward to 2020.Because of a number of changes we've encountered due to the pandemic, a moka pot has been a new adoptee in our house, and of course the hunt for a good moka pot coffee has followed. A number of brands have been tried and dismissed; they've turned out rather muddy and dark, as if a regular coffee was trying to pass itself off as an espresso and not quite succeeding (we've since discovered a lot of people do exactly that with a moka pot, make pseudo-espresso that they're ultimately disappointed with).Still, we made the best of it by making cafe au lait out of the moka mud, and waited until a new tin of coffee could be bought. Then we'd try a new brand, and the whole thing would start again.Fortunately we finally landed on Bialetti Milano. Honestly, we're not sure why it took us so long; Bialetti makes the moka pots, after all, they ought to know how to make the coffee that goes into them. The grind is ever so slightly coarser than the other brands we've tried, and that seemingly has made a huge difference; there's been no grounds in the cup or in the moka pot base since we've started using their coffee (that's a big complaint many people have with moka pots). Since Milano is considered a "light" roast, it's not trying to pass itself off as espresso's poor country cousin; this is moka pot coffee, period. The "floral-fruit" aroma they mention in their description comes through well, and the body, though not thick like espresso, is dark and rich, like a good Italian cup of coffee should be.In short, it has all the flavor of the European roast we've been missing. We're so glad we tried Bialetti. Coffee has gone back to tasting good in the morning.

Excellent flavor
I use this in my Bialetti Muka Express to make cappuccinos. It tastes delicious! It works in my regular stovetop moka too. I do not like a burnt espresso taste so I avoid Lavazza. I am on my third can of this brand. It never clogs so the grind is obviously correct for a moka pot.

When you want a change from dark roast
This coffee is amazing. We originally tried the Dark Roast and we were very pleased with the taste and the quality. Then we decided to try the Light Roast. We were glad we did. Both the light and the dark roast are great tasting and taste amazingly fresh. Sometimes we just want to change it up and this is the perfect coffee to do it with.

Good flavor works well with moka
This thing opens like those snake in a can. Poof. Coffee everywhere. So be careful when breaking the seal. Flavor is good works well for moka. Now, Excuse me while I sweep the floor, wipe the counter and get the coffee out of my shirt and hair.

Perfect Grind for my Moka Pot
When I found out Bialetti, who makes the great Moka Pot, came out with their own coffee I had to try it. I dusted off my Moka Pot, ordered some online, and made some coffee. Instead of having to guess at my grind and change it for each coffee I found that this was the perfect extraction the first time, and every time after. No more over extraction and having to adjust my grinder, no more sour under extraction and having to adjust my grinder. Having the right grind makes things so much easier and I get to enjoy my Moka Pot so much more often than I used to. Great Buy!

Expired Coffee
I bought this coffee for my dad, today he sends me a picture letting me know that the coffee was past the expiration date, and he lives in another country so him having to send this back to me to return it is very hard.

Too coarse.
Slightly too coarse of a grind for espresso.

Perfect for Moka Pot
Makes a great cup of espresso if you use their moka pots like I do. Consistency of the grind is spot on. Although I generally prefer to grind my coffee beans fresh, this is perfect for the mornings you just want to get going with a little less hassle.
