Platypus Duthie A.M. 15.0 Hydration Pack

I gave this pack four stars for two reasons: first, the hydration system hose came with a sort of clot made out of grease or some gel right in the middle, so I had to disassemble it completely to clean it with a special brush, which was quite annoying; second, though the pack in general looks well made (stitching, zippers, mesh pockets, etc.), it seems to me that the choice of fabric was not the best. It feels somewhat flimsy and not very abrassion-resistant, like some other brands. Only time will tell.Other than those two things the pack is really good. It is very well organized, the hydration bladder works remarkably and the back panel system will keep you almost completely cool and dry (the only part that gets a bit sweaty is around the lumbar region, since there is no significant separation between the mesh and the pack).

I bought this for festivals and day hikes and it has performed great for both. Plenty of internal compartments for gear and very adjustable so that you can load it up without it becoming an uncomfortable weight. The mesh system works well and keeps my back from being a sweaty mess even here in the Southeast US. My only complaint is the bite valve isn't as pleasant to use as competing hydration packs, though the Platypus's pack wins on ease of cleaning.

I love this pack.. it does everything its supposed to.. My one gripe is that the hardware on the hip belt cracked, and I'm not able to attach the hip belt without tying it in a knot, and I can't find a replacement. Not good!

I love this. I was able to purchase this when it was way cheaper. I love the numerous compartments, the comfort of wearing it, the functional design and the way it looks. I have not used the included hydration reservoir because I have an older Platypus reservoir that is still good to use (better than other brands). It has been with me during trips to different areas in the Sierra Nevada. I'm looking forward to more Platypus packs.

I ride two to three hours at a time in hot conditions. I can carry three liters in the bladder and 4 more 24 oz bottles. There is room enough for a tire pump, shock pump, multi tool, two tubes, and six powerbars and then some. It has a suspended mesh back but for my needs it needs even better ventilation. The optics/phone pocket is excellent.

Great size for day pack. Awesome compartments and pockets for organization. Straps aren’t in the way. Wish the side pockets weren’t fabric mesh. This material easily tears.

I've had this hydro pack for about a year now and have utilized it on many hiking trips and adventure races. The pack is pretty good but the customer service is non existent. I wanted to replace broken buckles and the leaking mouthpiece as well as source some patching material. Forgetaboutit! 0 response gets you 3 stars

It is super light weight and durable. Blows away every other hydration pack I have owned and holds nearly a whole gallon of water! Perfect bugout bag!
