"My older sister thinks she's so pretty. I told her that no matter how much ...
Some of the content provides examples that I would not want to pass on to any child. Here's just one example of the main character worm's narrative: "My older sister thinks she's so pretty. I told her that no matter how much time she spends looking in the mirror, her face will always look just like her rear end."How about this one? (Only girls are depicted in the picture on the page associated with this quote: ""I snuck up on some kids in the park. They didn't hear me coming. I wiggled right between them and they SCREAMED. I love when they do that." And the picture on the opposing page shows three girls running with terrified looks on their faces.Isn't there enough of this sort of put down in the world today without having to perpetuate through children's literature? Insulting and scaring girls (and only girls) is not a message that should be modeled as acceptable, especially in children's literature.

Great book series
My daughter loves the series of these books she’s 8 and reads them over and over. They are easy books to have in her library along with her dog man and chapter books. She wasn’t a fan of the slip cover so we just take them off. Overall so happy with my purchase great price and quality.

Perspective of a worm!
I LOVE this series! I remember reading this book when I first started teaching. I was so happy to grab a copy for my own toddler. It's a great read, from the perspective of a worm! I love books that allow me to use different voices for the kids. This is decently one of those books! I recommend this one and Diary of a Spider as well :)

Biology lessons for pre-schoolers? - not! Very funny.
Found this book at the home we were visiting, and read it to my 4 year-old granddaughter. We both enjoyed it very much. I found it extremely funny - a worm experiencing classic American schooling - and my granddaughter found a lot to talk about in the illustrations. Took the opportunity to explain about poisonous toadstools, and fungi in general, while my listener was fascinated with the new word. We found more in other books that morning - I’ve discovered that children’s stories set among trees all feature pretty red toadstools - the extremely poisonous ones with the white spots! In fact I remember the same fungi appearing in books I read as a child.

Kids Love This Story
We read this book to our four year old and two year old grandchildren. They enjoy it. It is the whimsical story of an individual worm child's live. Very creative, simple, pleasant, and positive.

Great Story
I love this story. I purchased it for my little cousin who is in the 7th grade. Her class starts Worm Dissection soon and I thought this book to be ideal. I have used it before in my Science class.

Adorable!
I'm a grad school student who planned a unit review around Doreen Cronin's "Diary of A Worm" book and purchased these to share with my classmates as a During Reading activity that could be done with students. Holy Cannoli, are they cute! They really are exact replicas of the characters from the books, and although I haven't yet done a reading with students using them, I can only imagine how much they would love them! They are beautiful puppets and a decent size for finger puppets. My only complaint is really with the company who shipped them. I was given a specific shipping date and relied on them to come by then because my presentation was the next day. I received them three days later than they were expected so I didn't get to use them for class. If you're looking for a great way to maintain your child/student's interest while reading this book, they're a great steal! Great price too! :)

Great Skype Material
How we read it may interest you. The children's books we purchase include buying two of the same book. One is shipped to us and the other to our granddaughter in Seattle. I then read to her on Skype while she follows. She is jumping up and down excited! When she asks for a re-read later I know we have a winner. Diary . . . made the cut.

Very entertaining
I borrowed that book from local library-my son loved it from the moment he opened. It was such a great fun to read this book with him and he said that he wished that he would have that book all the time. We decided to make a little pre-Christmas present ;)

Very funny - better than I expected! I think it will be even more enjoyable for my four-year-old as he grows.

ok, not great not bad
This product as said in the title is ok, not really bad but not actually very good. It was very expensive for what it actually is I thought & all the puppets were sewn together (???) which is very odd.

Makes us giggle
My son (7) borrowed this from the library and was desperate for his own copy. Really fun read and has a really important environmental message.

Great story for young and old.......hilarious!
Entertainment for young and old. I had bought this book many, many years ago for my grandchildren for when they came to visit and that was the one they always asked. Recently I became a great great aunt and for the baby shower they asked everyone to bring a book. The one I had was very worn, so I ordered a new one. I know it will be a hit with the new little one and his Mom and Dad.
