Did not fit
This cap did not fit my Canon M5. It might have been possible to shave off a little plastic to make it fit, but I did not bother as I found the original cover which I had thought was lost.

Fits the Canon EOS 70D fine and the camera flash still works and pops up OK. Neat fit and is quite tight.Does the job OK.However Canon EOS 5 Mk IV does not fit and is too tight (can only get 75% inserted).So mixed results.

Must Have
Today's hot-shoes are not the simple devices of yesteryear - get a protective cap ordered before you even take possession of your new camera. The fit and effectiveness of this cap are perfect, though I'm sure others are as well. What matters is to have one - and to use it.

Not very easy to remove
Cover is extremely difficult to remove. I purchased two for different camera models listed but exactly the same issue.
