What you should know
After reading the bad reviews I was moved to write that these speakers are really good for what thier application is really meant for. These speakers are not to add or replace speakers that are working with an AFTERMARKET amplifier. Hooking them up to an aftermarket will result in very low volume with the aftermarket amplifier cranking and overworking. It's a big NO,NO.Now for when you SHOULD use them is for when you need to replace or upgrade the speakers in your existing FACTORY amplifier setup from your Vehicle manufacturer. For example I replaced the JBL speakers that came with my 2006 Toyota Avalon with premium audio which means theres a factory amplifier somewhere in your car. These amplifiers are designed different and use a 2 ohm load that regular speakers don't play nice with and vice versa. Which is why these speakers are great and unique. Not many companies design and manufacture 2ohm speakers like these. Simple plug and play no altering or expensive and time consuming upgrade and setup installation so if you did like me and replaced the factory JBL Head unit with A Pioneer deck via a harness module that integrates my aftermarket headunit into my existing factory JBL amplifier for better sound, utility and flexibility which allows me to avoid having to run new wires throughout the whole vehicle and have to buy and install a different amplifier. Save money use your factory amp and upgrade sound with the aftermarket deck and these speakers or just using these speakers and let's say I didnt touch my Factory setup and just replaced my factory speakers with these and I will say you'll be happy and notice a difference in sound quality. The sound is a BIG improvement from what was installed from factory. Bass is much tighter and the mids are clean. On a side note:My factory setup already came with JBL tweeters and hooking up the ones that came with this Powerbass set didnt sound any better than the tweeters that were already there. I would have love to been able to buy just the mid woofers and ditch the crossover and tweeters but again I'm very happy with the upgrade these are over my factory JBL speakers. Auto manufacturers use such crap and make a killing selling "upgrade" premium audio slapping a name on the speaker. I only wish JBL stood for what they really are suppose to be and not sellout. If I could buy JBL aftermarket speakers in 2ohm load like these I would but that's why these bad boys come in handy.

2 Ohm For Toyota Tundra 2006 Double Cab JBL Premium Stereo System
Sounds surprisingly good. I replaced the woofer and midrange speaker in the bottom of the door with this woofer and tweeter. After adjusting my Pioneer head unit AVIC-W8500NEX with the appropriate crossovers and custom eq settings, this is an amazing sounding replacement speaker that allows you to keep the factory amp. I did not use their crossover hardware. I also used Flex Tape to tape the speakers into the factory hardware based on someone else stating they did it. Worked fine. Being able to adjust the sound so delicately using the W8500NEX is probably crucial to getting good sound quality from the factory amp.
