Replacement Seat for JD D130 Lawn Tractor
This seat was almost a perfect fit for my JD D130 Lawn Tractor, year model 2011. Bolted up fine to the mounting plate, but had to clue on a small piece of 7/16" plywood under the seat in the opening where the safety switch mounts so the tractor will start and run once you are seated. Everything else about this seat is fine and working. Nicely padded seat.

Bolt holes didn't line up to accommodate the seat adjuster but that was an easy fix. The main problem is that it doesn't have a plate in the bottom to actuate the seat safety switch. Until I figure out how to bypass it, I have to operate with a clamp on the switch.

mower seat
Fit my John Deere L110 just fine, used a piece of wood to make the seat switch work as with the old seat.

Seat came a week sooner than expected and is very comfortable. But
Seat came wrapped in paper and rubbing surfaces have a reddish blemish in the yellow plastic. Contacted the company who offered an exchange but it is going on a 7 year old JD L100 so I accepted it as is.. Would not have accepted if price was more than $100 and the tractor was new. Seat came a week sooner than expected and is very comfortable. But, always a but, the cushion is firmer than original and the JD Safety switch in the seat was not sufficiently engaged when sitting on the seat. It needs about 1/4 inch more stem for this cushion to fully depress it. Tractor will not start or will die when you turn on the blade. The fix is NOT to disable the switch as many on the Internet recommend, but to take out switch, drill a small hole in the switch plunger and put a very small sheet metal screw in the hole. You will have to adjust but if you screw it in so it extends only 1/8 of an inch to start you should be good. Stock mounting bolts dont always fit the seat but mine did.

I was very disappointed in the product and the response when tried to ...
The seat straps did not line up with the straps on the mower tractor so it could not be mounted. It was a lot of money for something that was not compatible with the tractor even though it had the same model number. Aftermarket parts does not mean that it won't work. It just means that it was not made by John Deere. I was very disappointed in the product and the response when tried to return it.

Seat Safety Switch dose not work.
Disliked the install of the seat safety switch. My seat switch had to be jury rigged to make it work. I will not bypass the seat switch to make it work properly. Thin plastic wall where the switch is suppose to rest. My old seat was metal so it fit right. Maybe a new switch is designed better to fit a plastic seat. Other wise fits wells and feels OK.
