CareFusion Stop Snoring Chin Strap Small- Large

This is my response to CareFusion after they refused me to return their miss sized chinstrap. It's a pity companies have to go to these extremes to make money. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I understand the hygiene issue, but the real issue is the lack of accurate sizing provided by the vendor. The straps would not meet to close and connect. There was a two inch gap between both ends. Even if we ordered an extra large (based on the one we have), the strap would probably be too hard to close and too tight. We thought we would be safe to purchase the small-large adjustable strap, but it turned out to be misleading.Wouldn't hurt to improve the quality control of the product. If they are going to be customer-focused, they should provide measurements from chin to top of head or something so the customers know what they getting.

So, I really like the fit of this strap, it is very comfortable, and it definitely does the job of keeping my mouth closed while using nasal pillows with my CPAP machine. HOWEVER, I really don't like that it leaves these really strange triangle dents on the side of my face that take hours to go away. I get up at 6am each morning and remove the strap, but the dents are still visible at 8:30-9am when I'm at work. I've had people comment on it, which is embarrassing. My CPAP nose pillows strap leaves a mark too, but it goes away much quicker and isn't as obvious. (See my photo of dents from an hour after removing strap.) Although it is otherwise a great strap, I can't deal with the face marks, so I'm going to try to find something else. Oh... And regarding the fit, I have a really large head for a woman -- I have trouble finding hats that will fit me -- but after checking the measurements suggested in the specifications, I was surprised that it suggested the smaller size, but it fit perfectly. So be sure to take the time to measure your head circumference and check the specifications before ordering.

I'm posting a similar review on the XL strap because I have an average size head and, based on other straps I own, this should be the size for me. I ordered the small-large strap thinking it'd be right for me. But even on the loosest setting, it was like my head was in a vise. by the "loosest" I mean the velcro positioned so it's as loose as possible without the velcro touching my hair. Because Velcro in my hair is a no-go. So since this one was so tight, I got the XL. As the next size up, it should have worked. But nope. My head was swimming in it. I couldn't get the strap tight enough to be able to wear it without overlapping and having the velcro in my hair (again!)There shouldn't be such a size discrepancy. The XL fits the way I'd expect considering the size of my head. Which means this strap SHOULD fit me. But it's so tiny. My best guess is that there's something off about this sm-large one. Like maybe it was defective or something?? I don't know, but the one I got wasn't wearable.

i am a new bipap (cpap) user. After months of struggling with various machines (the cpap did not work for me, the bipap is the same type of machine except for the way it pushes the air, several masks (I'm a mouth breather therefore started out with a full face mask but eventually found a nose pillow mask & chin strap worked best for me), chin straps & tubing later I can finally use my machine COMFORTABLY!!! After figuring out all the other options I could not find a chinstrap that would stay on my head. If I could have kept the mask on at night I would have not worried about using a chinstrap but I would fall asleep with the mask on and throw it off in my sleep. I was so frustrated I was ready to give up on being able to use my machine. I was told the other benefit of a chin strap, in addition to training my mouth to stay closed while I sleep, was to keep the mask strap in my head. I tried several different style of chin straps made out of various types of material, this strap is the only one that has been comfortable AND stayed on my head. I did try another similar chin strap but the placement of the velcro for the adjustment of the straps rubbed against my face while I slept. Another was the same style but made of different fabric then an employee at my machine and accessories supplier, also a cpap user, recommended this strap. This strap is the ONLY one I have found that is comfortable, lightweight, free from bulky seams sewn with rough thread that would irritate my face. The first night I used this strap I was able to sleep. No waiting days or weeks getting used to it. It may be priced a little, although not much higher, than other straps but is by far the most comfortable and easy to take on and off making it worth every penny! Success at Last!!!!!

15 year veteran CPAP user. This is the first chin strap that that I have (fell in love with). It is comfortable to the point that you don't evenrealize that you are wearing one!! It does stretch out aver a couple of months use but for the (comfort vs price vs what it suppose to do)KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT the darn thing works GREAT!!!! Ill never have to look for another chin strap this is it for me. I STRONGLYRECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT for anyone using a nasal airway that needs a device to keep from mouth breathing.

I ended up returning it. It’s very soft and I’m sure if your into this and need one of these it’s the best one. I got the regular size but my head is small so I thought it would work. It is truly small and no room for me with small noggin to adjust I would have to get the xl size.Now for the reason for return. I mouthbreather at night I was able to adjust but with the Velcro sticking to my hair After trying this out it just jammed my jaw shut that it caused jaw pain and temporal pain. My jaw was in such a forced position it’s jamming my cranium. Not what I want so I thought bigger size probably wouldn’t jam up my head but during my trials with this I just ended up getting a porous medical tape and mouth taping now. Works and no jamming sutures up in the cranium. If you need this type of thing size up the s-l is like a kids size it seems. I know because I wear an xs in motorcycle helmet. My head diameter 22”

Best fitting chinstrap I've tried - It held my jaw securely and lifted it straight up instead of back like most chinstraps do. It didn't move around on my head either. Rated it only three stars, though, because when I was adjusting it the first time, the velcro fastener on top of the head came completely off. The velcro fasteners are only attached by glue, not sewn on, so I now question the durability/quality of the strap. I hope the defect in mine was just a fluke, because it is by far the most effective chinstrap design I have tried..Excellent service from the Amazon rep I spoke to, hassle-free return and they offered to express ship me a replacement for no extra charge.

Arrived on time, exactly as advertised, works really well....replacement for a single chin strap that always slipped during the night. This one is firm, and never slips.....maybe it might be too small, even with adjustment for a big head.

Although the product arrived in good time, it is poor quality. The velcro fastening bit on one side came off at the second use. Aside from that, it didn't work at all. Certainly not worth the money. I will be looking to return this for a refund.

This item was for my husband and as he is sleeping when it is on I have noticed that it does keep his mouth closed and helps with the CPAP machine.

Fit is too small could not even use.
