Stay Warm With Natural Convection Heating New Age Living Phantom Series wall panel convection heaters offer out-of-the-way wall mounting and are an economic way of providing efficient room heating at a low cost. Using natural convection technology, this is the healthy and clean way to heat a room as no dust or allergens are blown around. Heat is generated within the high quality aluminum heating element and released through the top of the unit, which leads to an efficient up draft of heated air circulated into the room (the heated air rises at a speed of 2.3 feet per second!). This principle of convection means that most of the heat comes from the top of the panel, while a portion is radiated from the front. This form of background heating is extremely economical, and efficient. Phantom Series wall panel convection heaters are designed as an alternative to conventional bar heaters and other forms of high output heaters that use large amounts of electricity. Specifications 400 Watts of heating power Efficiently warms a room of up to 120 square feet Save up to 50% or more on your heating cost Uses natural convection technology without any moving parts Asbestos free and contains no harmful chemicals or metals High quality aluminum heating element Manual heating control Double safety thermal cut-out IP24 rated water resistance Length: 13" Width: 2" Height: 11" NOTE: Thickness with wall bracket is 3 1/4" Weight: 3lbs Color: Off White

Hit or Miss. Customer service even suck at "breadcrumbing".
Just got this on Thursday, not yet installed but I plugged it in today to check it out. Odor lasted a few minutes, then faded. It is approx. 12 inches square. Four stars because it has black "Do not cover" writing on the top that takes away from the understatedness of the unit.Pros: small, mostly understated. provides adequate heat for my small 6 × 12 x 8 bathroom.Cons: cord is too long for some applications. A shorter cord option would be welcome. Black writing on the top front of the unit that was not visible online. I don't think this gets as hot as an electric baseboard heater, but beware, I think it can cause first degree burns if a young child accidentally leans against it. Mine got hot enough for me to take that into consideration.Otherwise, it's initial performance pleases me.Update: 10.26.2017just about a week in, it does adequately heat my space, but today I notice that one side of the housing melted and there is a scorch mark on the front of the unit. Is this a defective one Of? Or did others experience this? I dont want to give up on this yet, I really want this to work out for me, but not at the risk of fire, destruction, or death. Second and third pics are scorched area, and melted right side.Update 10. 07. 2018Have been trying to downgrade this to two stars. This company never did anything to resolve the scorching issue. Two emails asking for pics then nothing.

If you like this design and are sizing one for your space, go bigger than the suggested size or you will be disappointed.
I like the design, it's silent with no fans or moving parts, however it barely keeps a tiny office space (100Sq Ft.) tolerable. I have to leave it on high all the time.

BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE - heater is not as 'flat' as described. Remember those super dangerous space heaters from the 60's and 70's? The ones that burned down houses? That's what is inside these 'flat panel' heaters. This company expects you to mount a heating coil to the wall of your house - and when you try to return the item, fights you about it, then gaslights you. Husband is a FD Lieutenant and could not believe what he was seeing when he unpacked the heater, and will not install it in our house. When I tried to return the item, I was told no problem, as long as I pay to ship it back, even though the item is not as described. Shipping a package to Canada is not cheap, so be careful if you purchase from this company and get something that is not as described, you're going to have to either keep it, or pay more in shipping than the item is worth to send it back. Oh and there's a 20% restocking fee too that they don't mention. Do not buy - unless you have plans to burn down your house. Then this should definitely do the trick.

Geat design, quality and heat.
Wow. I am so glad I found this unit. Here is the background. I airbnb out my basement in-law suite I built. Last year it was cold in the basement and I found that the drier vent was badly deficient, a giant hole in the insulation by my electric panel, and there were two poorly concieved and installed windows. I changed the vent, and there was an immediate change in temp, and humidity. Score! I also added spray foam. The windows I've decided to just tape. Last year the 1500 watt heater we had kept tripping the circuit, and to reset it means entering the guest space. So I bought two of these to heat the private bedroom and living room area, and I'm very impressed. Guests won't mess with it because it just does it's job when it needs to thanks to the built in thermostat. It also won't trip our power. It isn't too hot to the touch, and it really gives my space a nice modern flare over a forced air electric heater. Also the two heaters perfectly heat the immediate space which is 250 square feet. The rest of the basement is noticably warmer. Thanks for making them and shipping them so promptly. I don't have to worry about a person starting a fire with the old heater anymore. :-)

I never right reviews but have been very satisfied with this little heater
I never right reviews but have been very satisfied with this little heater. We have it in my daughter’s basement bedroom. Our house is a little over 3000 soft and the heating is not zoned, therefore the basement gets a lot colder in the winter months. Her bedroom is about 15x20 with a walk-in closet and attached bathroom. As long as she keeps her door closed, it does a great job at keeping the bedroom at a very comfortable temperature. She says sometimes it is too warm. Have it attached to a smart WiFi plug so can set multiple schedules and control remotely. The plug also show watt usage. On max setting when warming up the room, it is using about 600 Watts. There is no on/off switch. When it is plugged in, it’s on. This make it perfect for use with a smart plug. Very economical way of providing some extra heat for bedroom. Considering getting one of the larger ones for my son’s room over the garage. Completely silent.

Heat is Ok, just not really great.
The Panel Heater is ok. It is made out of sheet metal and does get hot to the touch on the outside. Unit does extend out from the wall quite a bit. There are no numeric or alphabetic indicators as to what setting you have the unit. I'll see how well it performs this coming winter season as a supplemental heat sort for a cold bedroom.

No longer chilly, nice and warm!
Ordered 2 to use in 2 of our upstairs rooms. They are perfect! We have ridiculous wall heaters in both of these rooms, one the thermostat doesn’t work and the other was in a spot where we couldn’t use it. Installed these and the rooms we now have nice cozy WARM rooms (and when the doors are left open, the warmth is carried throughout the top floor) We will be purchasing a few more for a couple of the downstair rooms/areas as we do not have central heating and cold spots get even colder in the winter.
